I think it's just you. I just upgraded from a 39 to a 43 station myself and I've noticed a lot more amazings and next to no critical failures. Heck, on my fiance's doc a few days ago, he had four amazings in a row (too bad he was making stims and not schematics!) Ony my chef, I've got +20 experimentation but only +7 assembly, and I'm usually too lazy to take port and cake... are you in a research city by chance? Sometimes... ya just get bad rolls. My unlucky streak seems to hit me with tailor more than chef!

Yes, I've seen a lot more critical failures over the last 2 or 3 weeks and I use all very high quality tools in a reseach center, etc..

I hardly ever see a critical fail but there does seem to be a fair bit of randomness in amazing successes. For instance I'm in a research center, 14.97 tools, 43.9 station +25 experiment and drink +11 bespin port. Usually it takes me 5-10 tries to get a schem with 2 amazing successes. Last time I tried it, it took me 21 tries (when it did happen all 12 points I spent were amazings). So even with all the bonuses expect to have your good streaks and bad ones. At this point there is no way to guarantee you will have great experiments of no critical fails. The best you can do is try to stack the odds in your favor and hope for a good rolls.

Yup, I've noticed it takesa bit to get that amazing succes that I want. I rarely get those crit fails but I do occassionally get those good successes
