reason for the question is this...

character with 20 melee defense

ca's and aa's get to 45 melee defense

vegeparsine (which I understand can get you about 25 more) gets to 70 melee defense

pikkata - which I understand gives functionally 40% or so on defenses - would get to about 100. that's nothing to sneeze at from 20 raw melee defense.

but is it possible? does vege and pikkata work together?

Pikatta is a chance to dodge the attack, not melee defense, therefore it and vegeparsine should stack. Pikatta and Air Cake however, do not stack.

If I'm not mistaken, the higher your melee defense, the better the chance is for your opponent to miss. So while the foods might not actually stack with each other. They would complement each other pretty nicely.
