Brandy needs casks. In fact, I don't make any drinks without putting them in casks. Barrels are completely broken and give you the same quantity as a small glass would. With the right resources, you can hit 21 uses with the brandy, although I believe 18 is the standard if your PE and DR aren't super high.

You'll need 2 identical trim from a tailor and 150 units of crystalline gemstone to make each cask, which makes them very resource intensive. You only need one cask per container of brandy, so it'll be 1 crate of 25 casks for 1 crate of 25 brandies.

sorry, to brind this up again, but i need to know....i'm on the chimeara server, and i was wondering how much you chefs on this server get charged, for either trims or for the whole casks made...lets say ifi wanted 1k of each. How much would it generally cost? what is gd price and expensive price?

also what do you advise me to do about making these casks if i only got trims, as i do not have anymore lots to mine gemstone

I usually paid 4k a crate for trim - there are several runs of it on a vendor on Haven Island (as I see you're on Chimerea) - search for the "Trim" vendor on the map.

I could do you a 1000 Casks, but I'd be looking for 10k/crate 400k for a full run- the price of gemstone went through the roof recently.

If you have the skillpoints left, its worth to pick up 0010 tailor and make your own trim (needs a Wearables Factory though).
Not because of the price necessarily, but simply because its very hard to find trim in enough quantity.
