I"m not sure if this is a bug or if I did something wrong...I've searched all over the forums and haven't found anything.

Someone is letting me use their food factory. I put in a schematic for alcohol, put in some ingredients (not enough to complete the full 500 or whatever that I put on the schematic), turned it on, and voila!

I came back a day later, and was able to pull out all my factory crates... but I can't do anything else with my factory now!!! I mean, I can pay maintenance, give it power, and access permissions but I don't have an option to turn it off/on, to access the schematics bay (I can access ingredients and output hopper), and when I examine it the description is blank.

Did I screw up by not letting it finish the run of 500? Is it possible that even though I"m an admin I have to have the owner reset it?

Any suggestions would be helfpul! Thanks in advance.

There is no off/on. Did you pull out your schematic? If there is no schematic loaded and you have no schematic for it in your DP, you will not see the schem slot. For example if your datapad only contains weapon schematics, and there is no schem in the food factory, the schem slot will not be visible to you. So make sure you have a schem of the appropriate type when looking for the slot

Yeah, because there was some "leftover" copper in there which I pulled out; but now I did not have another schematic ready to go, so I'm guessing that's why I don't see anything having to do with schematics.

However, I never remember pulling my old schematic out... did it just use it up since I only put 500 uses? Well, in any case I'm just glad I'm not going crazy.

OK I think that was the trick. I whipped up another schematic just to test, and I have the option again.

Another problem that is happening is that a structure will lose the admin rights for the owner and you lose access to all of the 'options'. You can still pay maint, drop power etc but you can't make anything. The identifying factor is if you look at the admin list adn it is empty or your name as the owner is missing. THe workaround is to find someone you trust and /transferstructure to them (stand near the structure target them and type /transferstructure) then have them transfer it back to you the same way.

If it makes all the uses that are on the schematic, the schematic will poof yes.
