first off i'm not sure if chefs even use meat ... from here on lets pretend as if you do... ok so i've been killing newb mobs out side of mos espa and have racked up 1.2k reptillian meat with a flavor of 995 and crappy other stats so the question is whats this worth ???

Well, since a lot of good quality meat drops off high level mobs in lots of 70-120 per kill and people drag in several thousands worth at a time, not as much as you might expect.

Most chefs will gladly pay 4 credits per unit for meat/bone/hide of average quality and 5 credits per unit for high stat items.

If you get greedy like some people on the bazaar who think that there's simply a lot of rich chefs waiting to buy their chuba meat at 15 credits per unit, you'll find yourself with a lot of meat and no credits. However if you price reasonably you'll sell it and make some credits and then have cheap food to buy off the bazaar in return. That's how the economy works. Gouging suits no one.

For me, I generally do not buy meat unless it has good PE and OQ (900 or better). Although I did just make several thanksgiving dinners for people and the meat would work nicely for that.

From my research (the schematics are wrong) flavor has nothing to do with the quality of food.

Bio-engineers get more effects from flavor.

As an observation, I find that flavor does indeed help. If I drop ingredients into my schematic with high flavor as opposed to equal ingredients but with lower flavor (equal in PE/quality) then I get significant improvements to the duration and fill factor.

If I am just buying meat cuz somone has a hunk that he offers me, i will pay 4-6 cpu depending on quality (wont buy something under 800 pe and oq, ever). however, often times I know where the good meat is in the galaxy (like insect for vercupti), and I will hire someone to go get it. since its usually to friends or im making someone go out of their way for me, I usually offer 10cpu or so for it.
