Thread: No Colors anymore on the schematics?
As far as I can see we can no longer make the descriptions of food colored. I have tried for several days after each little patch hoping ot get it back but no luck
. Was this done on purpose or is it something we will get back (he said crossing his fingers and toes)?

TH said in a thread last week that it was intentional and they don't plan on bringing it back. He stated that it was unfair that some people knew how to hex color items while others didn't. It created an imbalance...maybe they can add a coloringGUI in the future. There are a few petitions to bring back coloring on the discussion forums.
Of course, you can still color waypoints and signs, so TH's argument falls apart a little bit on that part.
check out the artisan boards.
I forget which dev, i think it was thunderheart said that they were removed because it kinda made premium auctions useless. Whats the point in paying extra for an asterisk if you can make the text any color for free (and have it grab your eye just as easily)
I think they said that in the future they were going to integrate colors as a part of premium auctions w/o using hex codes. I liked hex codes though... Gave you some creative license with your food. I say they just remove premium auctions as it is and replace it with the ability to color text. If i was at my other computer i'd give the link to this hex color site. Just google it...
You can still use colors on buildings however, and waypoints
i know megabrain, it was fun making all of my fire stews red, and all of the chardes light blue ![]()
but you can see why they took it away right?
its not just for chefs, its for all crafting as well
they're probably going to put it back in later, done a different way (i'm thinking like clothing customization)
*shrug*
(tiny rant)
Yeah.Premium auctions areuseless. That was the most specious argument I've heard. Oh next to "some people don't know the codes"... give me a break. It takes how long to do a google on hex codes and find a page with them listed? People were spreading them by word of mouth.
