Greetings all. I rarely post here (too busy making aludium), but I'm a master chef on Bria and even though I did it in an attempt to become a Jedi it has been quite fun and I've kept it even after I unlocked my slot. All that to say I LOVE CHEF!
Now here is the dilemma that I am facing. Every day at least once sometimes much more I get a /tell from someone telling me that they want to use food but they need to know which ones do what. And so I go into the same song and dance (I should get an email) and then direct them to the awesome chef page that someone made (thnx for that btw). But now, I'm gonna have to reeducate them.
I am gonna get 100 tells asking why can't I make fishak anymore or why can't I have more in my stomach etc, etc, etc. I think I like chef the way it is (with milk and hats of course) and I'm just scared of change.
As I just overreacting or do you guys and girls feel the same way?

Judging from these boards, you're going to get 100 tells asking why there is no fishak. And yess you will have to re-educate them. But in the long run, the chef changes will make your crafting and clients more diverse, and hopefully even more fun.
PS: better start working on an email
I'd hate to have to explain all the new stuff coming out every time.

There's going to be a lot of reeducation needed. And now we won't have to deal with just telling people what foods do (which has been done when food effects first started getting noticed, and is still being done as you've experienced), but also explaining that old foods that they were used to are either gone or have completely new properties.
I've got enough Management skills to put up some spare vendors. In each shop I'll have one for pre-patch foods, and one for new stuff. One method I've seen is to have an item starting with a number (so it gets sorted to the top of the list), fill up the description for it with all the information you think your customers will need, and have the vendor's "barking" message point the customers to it (assuming you have the appropriate skill to customize that). I'll be keeping that samedescription stored in my notepad, so if a question comes in from a /tell or email, I can paste it into an email to the questioner.
Some items I'm planning to include: how filling works, how digestion works, what stat buffs are available, pointing out some (hopefully) globally beneficial skill buffs like damage mitigation, and possibly emphasizing more custom orders (since the two larger drink containers and BE components probably aren't going to be something I'll be using in general stock).
I think BoH is going to be especially confusing. It's got the same name (ooo, what about the art? It copies Blue Milk on Live...) and buffs the same stats, but I wonder how many people are going to notice the larger duration and lower filling before flaming me for selling crap.

The art is new. Well, I don't rember seeing it before. It's definitely different.

This is what I'm most worried about
