hello everyone.

yes, i am afraid of this whole new system, atm. we finally got almost all the bugs fixed, starting from last august, and now it hasnt been long since we started our actually business*.

i've seen some super amount producing chefs out there, which is really impressive, but here in scylla, all i sold for past 1 month is angerian fishaks. i think i've sold more then like 200 crates of them, which was good and bad. it was good cause it made me rich. but it was bad cause i felt like a factory runner, not a chef.

i tried to make new foods, gathered some real nice insect meats, domesticated meats. advertised the new foods to ppl. yes, like10 or15 crates were sold, but that was it. doctor's stats buffs were much better, and ppl bought foods and drinks for mind/focus/willpower * pet foods only.

we have to admit this.

well maybe that was just for my server, but GGP and Fishak was the best sellers. anyways, i see alot of problemsin the chef revampas well. so i am really dissappointed about the new whole changes for chefs(BE additives, super low buffs, super long stomach digest time), but hey well worth it. it's going to be a new challange, just like we chefs had for past 4 monthes. we've fought through all those bugs, we've survived. we will survive on this change also =)

btw, what i would like to suggest might sound crazy. but oh well, everything is going crazy anyways

if they are going to nerf chef buffs and durations on them like this, and make us dependent to other professions, i would say, make ppl eat and drink mandatory. which means all your performance will drop under 50% when your stomach is empty. and it you will perfom 100% of ability when it's not. simple as that. then ppl will eat and drink no matter what. and of course since they have to eat, i would rather pay a bit more and eat buff/skill mods foods & drinks. it's just a opinion, and i know it might sound crazy. but doesnt this makes more sense? i know some ppl who havent ate at all since they were born except the melon you get.

and i dont think that's realistic. make all food and drink mandatory! then all the complaints will go zip!(this is a joke).

anyways, please let me know what u all think about this. and no flames please. i dont want to fight/struggle with my chef buddies. we are all on the same boat.

PS. Super great job SirVimes...really apperciate it!

This has been hashed on before in here. Mandatory food and drink is plain and simple EQ all over again. And...with food/drinksbeing sorta expensive, and downright unaffordable for newer players, I doubt this is ever going to happen.

1. Chefs would then have to make cheap, filler items and sell them for cheap too. (even having to use factory time because so much of it would have to be produced.)

2. Going from old system to new system with a food/drink requirement would probably break stuff all over again. (snickers, arent we already having stomach/digestion problems? /prescribe Prevacid)

3. Buffs such as food, spice, Dr. and entertainer buffs **ARE ALREADY** mandatory **IF** you want to be the best of the best. And then you have to have the best of those buffs. If you're not buffing yourself to maximum buff potential, you will lose in battles pitched even in your favor sometimes if buffs were out of the picture. So in a way, it's already the way you wish.

Dont eat? You will die faster. Plain and simple. While forcing it is realistic, but do you also want them to make you have to take a poodoo behind that poopleberry bush and get a rash? It's a game, lets keep it fun.

Just a humble opinion....

One star for passion about cheffing and food, though. =)
