I understand this is the food that grants a + harvesting mod?

My question is this, if someone without novice scout uses this can he/she still harvest?

I'm sure I read that you need to have the original skill set to actually enhance it with foods. Would be nice for someone to confirm it 100%..

Anyone?

All gone. Nothing to see now. Bye Bye Ahazi most of you guys were cool

I was sure I read the opposite, for example the food that has 40 vs knockdown works even if you dont have any prior vs knockdown mods.

If anyone has this food on bloodfin ill go confirm or deny it right now :-)

well hmm, I was sure I read somewhere this is the one that raises harvesting skill, but I found some on a merchant and bought it, it says + con/sta/willpower, but when I eat it, I get no buffs at all.

So I thought it does one thing, it says it does another, and doesnt do anything at all, heh.

- The one that adds defense vs. knockdown works even if you start at zero because there's no skill involved to use it.

- The one that adds to harvest skill is useless if you don't have novice scout, because you don't have access to the /harvest command.

- The new veghash does increase harvest skill, although I have not personally tested it.

- The one that raises con/sta/wil is the old veghash. You bought the prepatch stuff. Some it is rumoured not to work, but all my prepatch stuff still works.... so i dunno.

I am looking at the novice scout box right now and I see no "harvest" command in the commands and abilities granted box.

But in order to harvest from an animal, you need to be able to use the /harvest command. If you don't have that command, then there is no use getting more harvesting ability is there?

You do get more meat/hide/bone from an animal if you have higher harvest skill. However, Rangers have been saying for a long time that the increase from novice scout to Master Ranger is not much (maybe 50% increase). This is a good time for that to be changed, since that will boost production of rangers as well as increase the usefulness of this food.

What Karnijx said is correct. I will test it this afternoon but I know I read that you could gain skills you were not entitled to by eating food that granted that skill. I will look for the post also and add it in here.

I remembered were I saw that. It was in the chef friday feature they did a couple weeks ago. It uses the same example for the knockdown skill that was used above but it left me with the same impression that Karnijx has. Maybe you can confirm what is correct SV?
