Yes it's true, the food bonuses do stack on top of the +25 cap. But it is not possible to get another experiment point to reach 13 points by eating food. The reason is, Bespin port only adds to your experiment success chance (much like a reasearch center does). It will increase the chances of you getting more amazing success, but it will not grant you another point.

Ahh, that explains why I have never heard of a 13pt crafter. Darn and here I thought I'd stumbled upon something exceptionally cool.

Do food skill bonuses stack on top of skill attachments, like it does with buffs?
If so, thenwouldn't it possiblefor someone with+25 skill attachments in crafting professionwhile eating at least a +5 bespin port (increases expermentation) to become a 13pt crafter?
I know that doctors with BE clothing & bivoli have their bonuses stack, fighters can stack defense food & their clothes (not certain if it is just clothes or if attachements work as well), scouts with harvesting, ect. But I've never heard of someone doing this with a crafting profession.

Yeah, the're treated as a seperate item and stack. For example you may have bio engineered clothes with +25 wound treatment, you can then eat bivoli to gain another +25 wound treatment making a total of +50. Same with other things too, they are not capped as they are in different classes (food buff /skill buff through CA/BE clothes).
