Is there a way to get 12 exp pts without having skill tapes? I have a apron that takes me to 105 and then my Bespin port brings me up to 113.
Whats the best way to get amazing success? I use a 14.97 tool, 43 station, my apron, and pyo cakes but cant get many amazings. Someone mentioned something about being in a special crafting city(forget exactly what they said) but how can you tell if the city is like that or not?

When you walk into the city it should say Name of City, City (Research Center). Any cities that are research centersgive youa 15% bonus to your final result roll when you craft within their borders.

Bespin port and the research center bonus do not add to the number of experimentation points you can spend. What those do is to improve your odds of getting a "great" or "amazing" success, and reduce the chances of a critical fail. The better crafting tools and stations do the same thing.
The only way to get more actual points is to get "+food experimentation" skill tapes. Or "+Artisan experimentation" if you want a bonus to foods in the Domestic arts branch. With the jedi revamp after publish 10 (when normal players can obtain force sensitive skills) there is also "Force experimentation" which will also add to your experimentation points (for any item type).

To my knowledge, skill tapes are the only way (until the redi revamp) to get 12 experimentation points.
