Ran some tests and i didn't dodge anything. Or do you have to have dodge skills to enhance it.
Thx

Pikatta pie is a weird food - its name does not describe its real function. The devs discovered that defense stacking could make templates completely unhittable and pikatta pie only added to that. So, they fixed defense stacking (somewhat at least), created a separate mod for center of being and for pikatta pie and air cake so that they do not stack with existing dodge mods and make players unhittable. Pikatta pie and air cake now add to your initial roll for whether an attack will hit or miss against you (instead of "evade" like your dodge mod). If any player, regardless of whether they are a fencer or pistoleer, eats pikatta pike they will have the 50%+ mod from your pikatta pie that an attack will miss completely.
It's very useful and many PVP folks have discovered that it is a mainstay for PVP along with the normal synthsteak, brandy, and canape.

Thank you vm for responding, i'll try the air cake maybe i'll have better results. I'm using this on a jedi with some of the defence tree maybe it doesn't work on them.

Air cake does the same thing. No food adds to fencer/pistol dodge

My Jedi benefits greatly from Pikata. You may not be noticing a difference because you're looking for the wrong message. Instead of causing you to "dodge" ("MBH eyeshots you for 237, but you evade" in the combat spam) it causes your opponents to "miss" ("MBH spams eyeshot at you, but misses"). Furthermore, if the description is to be believed, the bonus is a percentage, presumably of your melee D/ranged D skills, so it will be more effective on characters with higher defensive skills in the first place.
My Jedi has 114 melee D and Pikata makes a HUGE difference in the rate at which a group of monsters beat him down.

No I'm sure that isn't right. The dodge it effects is an unlisted skill. I saw a post along time ago about how dodge worked and every player has something like a .5%. This is a diffrent skill then the fencer pistol one, and other then food I don't think it can be modified. The reason it works so well for jedi I'm guessing is they have something like an 80% ranged weapon dodge (evade )and the food may be working with that. It is possible that it's not and people are just assuming the large number of evades are coming from the food ?

Battery, that doesn't really jive with my and my Jedi partner's experiences. First, my partner has no melee/ranged defense. He gets hit by everything, so there's no innate 80% dodge chance or anything of the like for Jedi. Furthermore, Pikata does absolutely nothing for him, he still gets hit nearly every time he gets attacked. My jedi gets hit moderately (about 50% of attacks in PvE) and much less when under the effects of Pikata (10% or so).
It seems pretty clear to me that the melee D on our base characters is the only thing effecting how often we get hit, and that for whatever reason pikata pie is far more effective for me than him. You can draw your own conclusions from there.

I can definately tell the difference (just from a damage taken point of view) when using the pie vs not using it, so it is definately having an effect. This is primarily for melee attacks. Also, not all jedi have 80% ranged blocking, this is only master lightsaber, I used the pie all the way from novice lightsaber on up.
