Thread: Wookie chefs get the big spatula? Whats wrong with a wookie in an apron?

Ummm... So I have mastered the chef profession and was all excited to finally get my hands on a chef's apron today... Only to get it home and find out that I cannot wear it... Is this an oversight? Am I missing something? This apron gives a significant bonus to assembly and experimentation and wookies cant wear it!? Really, I knew when I started this toon many months ago I could not wear armor or most clothing, but to not have access to an item like this is pretty seriously hindering on this profession

I guess wookies aren't meant to be chefs, I mean what kinda hair net do they need?

It will just cost a bit more for a +5 food exp clothing attachment and once you have that then apron will be behind u.
There was a huge thing about aprons and wookiees when the aprons 1st came into the game and it died off and no change to the aprons. I don't think this thread will make the change either. Either drop chef or do a nice wookiee roar and let the anger out and let the chef apron go (or give the apron to a friend and remake your char to something besides wookiee and regrind chef ).
).Besides... a wookiee making food (with out killing it 1st) and trying to sell it before he eats it.. i don't see how that works.

lol yeah... I actually just started playing again after 8 months off, but my original template was master artisan/ws/chef with some merchant which I have now achieved... I know the other 5 exp points are going to cost me an arm and a leg but im prepared for that... But the 5 points from the apron are crucial because its MUCH cheaper to get an apron (i payed 300k) than 5 assembly AND 5 exp points worth of SEAs (on our server that would be over 20 million). I'm also aware I can make nice stuff with noa dditional bonuses but presently I put all my points (nearly always) into nutrition. It would be nice to have 1 or 2 extra to further reduce filling or increase duration and its necessary if I want to compete with other chefs We do have at least one other wookie chef on valcyn whom I met last night

Its a bunch of BS imo.
We have ID tents but wookie crafters still cannot wear the aprons.
I have said it once and I'll say it again: The DEVs are treating us like 2nd class customers with this issue. It should have been resolved long ago. In a crafting environment where 11 and 12 point crafters are desired this is a severe handicap for a new crafter.

Yeah, I had heard about the wookie problem with the apron, but I wasnt sure. I think I have seen one Wookie Chef running around my server, although I dont recall his name.
If it makes you feel any better, those aprons dont really give you too much in the way of actual bonuses on their own. You will still need to get another +5 worth of Experimentation SEA's onto your outfit before you get another experimentation point. They assembly would help some, but those SEA's cost a lot less than their Experimentation counterparts.
But man, you can make killer food as a 10-point Chef. The extra two points help, and I was able to improve on my food once I got to that point. Butit's not necessary to have them to make great food. I would just keep an eye out for SEA auctions on the boards for Food Exp. They are a bit less expensive than they were a few months back.....and as a chef you can make the money to buy them fairly quickly. Just start harvesting good resources, get a vendor up and running, make some decent brandy and other favorites, and you will start bringing in the cash.

Hi I'm new to the forums and I'm Master Chef and I'm a wookiee on the kettemoor server. I've had trobles trying to find skill tapes so i can become a 12 point chef but i make pretty good food being a 10 point chef. I wish wookiees could wear a apton at least it would make a little difference in preparing our foods. The devs sure make it hard to be a chef when your a wookiee I don't understand why we can't wear the apron. Was wondering if anyone new if wookiee females can wear a bandolier i know we can't weara tusken one but can we wear other ones?

Thunderheart: Please be patient. Its not just a matter of allowing Wookiees to wear the apron, the apron has to be created as a new art asset because Wookiees have a different skeleton than other playable races. This is something you can expect in an upcoming publish. (04-26-2004)
This is the dev's answer.. another words we wont get an apron like other chefs in my opinion.. since april they are fixing it?

hehehe he was repsondin to me,he asnwered my pleas 2 times about the issue,and then promptly forgot everything he said,par for the course.
thunderheart before his upgrade was often wrong and usually misleading to boot,after his promotion well lets just say more of the same ,but the scale has become monumental now.
far beit us to ask for them to fix something that has cost each wookie crafter at least 5 mil credits,and at a time when we had nothing else as in no armour.
i personally dont trust

Im just wondering how hard it would be to create a solution for this issue which doubltless effects other apron wearing professions (medic, architecht, tailor that I can think of). I know we can wear the WS toolkit since I got one of those as well At worst, they could create a wookie wearable version of it ( i dont even care what the graphics are ) and let us exchange them at an NPC or something... Cmon Devs I know you see this!~
