I logged in this morning to an email from a player who had purchased a crate of brandy ( +424, was pretty pleased with that run)

when he/she tried to drink, he got the message

The crate Vasarian brandy containd items no longer used by the game and should be removed from your inventory

HUH ???

has anyone encountered this before?

I have tipped him back the money and soon as i can hook up will give him a crate on the house, but if this is a new issue lets get the word out.

It usually happens when the Devs change something about an item.

Wouldn't know what they should change with brandy though

well they just changed something with harvested resources that changed to different types if left in the hopper when the stuff you were harvesting shifted.

dunno if thats why you may be experiencing this... /shrug

A more likely scenario is that the player's inventory was full (60 items) when they tried to remove the brandy from the crate. Sometimes the game tries to remove the item and it becomes unuseable

I can't remove anything at 59/60 or above. Double click on the crate just doesn't do anything then.

No error message, no item lost, no item removed

That usually happens when you have one item left in a crate, but it can happen in a full crate. I was reimbursed the amount I normally charge for the Brandy by a CSR after I wrote a ticket in.

I got this error twice last night while making runs to my vendors, both times it was lag. I pulled all 25 items out of the crate and the crate never left my inventory and said one item left. I messed around with it for a bit and everytime i moved or clicked it i got a server email saying "item (item name) is no longer used by the game please remove it from you inventory". This seems to be more of a lag problem for me,I didn't lose any items over it.

This happens to me all the time, i craft alot of clothing and food by hand sometimes, and sometimes my synthentic cloths, or bsn's just get stuck or something. the crate becomes unusable, sent in many tickets, the recommendation was to destroy the crate, usually i get an email too if i try uncrating it saying 'its no longer usable in the game" or some shmay
