Thread: An idea on bartending.
Here's something I just got to thinking about while mining away on Talus. I think the layout of Cantina's are the biggest burden to bartending. You can't get behind the bar. I've never really liked cantinas because all the entertainers are just right inside the entryway with the patrons surrounding them. Most of the cantina goes unused. Hotels have a better design. Stage in front with an accessible bar in the back. Unfortunatly the only place I've seen hotels used extensively is Rori.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Ok, ignore this post. I just realized that you can in fact access the bar in a cantina.
I don't know why I never noticed this before.
True, but even then you have a good point. I'm sure countless customers have been turned off because they have had been unable to see me through the hoarde of musicians. One time, a pair of master musicians completely blocked out the bar by placing a couple Nagalorns (sp?)! It was awful!
I agree, it's a complete waste of space, and I seriously enjoy traveling to Rori to see a much better designed cantina, or hotel in this case.
some great points... I've noticed this in the cantina in Theed on Naboo. There isn't any set stage!! If there is I haven't seen the stage, or seen the musicians use it. I would tend to think that they would in fact use the stage if one was presented to them in the cantina.
On nights when the cantina is very busy... you would think that it would be good for possible business, but since there is ZERO order, or any sembelance of order in the cantina it's VERY hard to find people, and trade/sell.
Who designed these cantina's anyways!! time to talk to some of those builder artisians.
