Thread: Why is everybody so fervent over Milk and Eggs?
Let's be practical here. Don't rush to conclusions. Right now, Milk and Eggsare #1 on the Chef Correspondont list, and many posters insisted that theybe added right away!
Why?
Do you really think recipes that include Milk and Eggs are going to be any better, or sell any better, than our other busted recipes? Are you assuming that Jaar and Bantha Butter are going to be better than Charde and Wastril Bread? Are we all just standing here praying that milk and eggs will magically find us another Tatooine Sunburn imitation?
Let's be practicaly. The only thing that will come from adding Milk and Eggs isa largervariety of useless, unbeneficial food and drink items. Now, I do realize that many items from the Desserts line requires Milk and Eggs, but still, are you really selling these Desserts to customers anyway? Domestic Arts is still better. In conclusion, I just feel that "Add Milk and Eggs" is a very, very silly waste of the #1 problem on the Chef Correspondont list.
If you feel otherwise, please tell me. Keep it constructive, people ![]()
I could care less if there is another Sunburn in the line, I like to RP and and can't serve a proper meal without a desert.
Looking at Tatooines resource table atm, theres about 13minerals, 5chem, 4 gas and about 24 flora - thats a hell of a variety to choose from, plus the other resources we use.
Maybe the milk & eggs should be changed to one of the other little used flora's ?
Working with the same ingredients is really really boring. I like experimenting around with new ingredients, besides have you seen the sprite for Blue Mlik hehe can't wait to make some of that!
Actually how difficult it will be to add to the game will all depend on how they decide toimpliment it, if they merely decide to have NPC's and foragers to find it more readily in larger amounts than thats a coding adjustment, if they decide to add in another profession for milk and eggs then thats a project in itself.
So you can't say right off the bat that it WILL be too difficult to adjust.
My first preference is to have them in the game. If, however, that is too much of a problem then yeah, they should be removed. But I would be a bit disappointed only for variety reasons.
And the reason it is such a big issue for me is because it is such a "what the hell were you people thinking?" mistake. It wasn't a typo in code or doing some equations wrong or a memory leak...it was a mistake. Just really bugs me.
So then you all agree with me, right? ![]()
So can we drop the milk/eggs issue to #5 on the list, or something? I think the only real argument here was that it's important for role-playing, but even that isn't a very pragmatic reason considering it has nothing to do with game mechanics.
