Thread: Someone was asking about fishing...

I spent some time fishing the other day because I was getting tired of killing plasma thieves over and over and over again.

Hint 1: When walking near water, watch very carefully! You may notice a sort of splash graphic. THAT is where the fish are. Fishing anywhere else will result in a boring fishing trip. I came across one of these spots in the swamps of Moenia and caught several fish in a short period of time.

Hint 2: Make sure you have novice scout so you can filet your fish once you have caught them! This will yield fish meat that you can use like any other meat harvested from animals. It will also yield chum bait so you can fish some more!

As to catching them...you are on your own. I have done various tugs left, tugs right, tugs up...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Thanks for the tip! I have had many boring fishing trips that ended in my losing bait. I don't think fishing will be a great way to gather meat, but it's more fun and interesting than surfing bazaars.

Where do you get bait? I wanted to try fishing once but didn't know where to find bait.

Scouts can forage for the bait.. then once you catch a fish with the scouting skills you can filet it and get more bait....

Somewhere I read that you could mount the fish on your wall in your house - like a trophy - once it was skinned.... but I tried that yesterday and the silly thing just kept fallin on the floor - did anyone else read about this? or do you have any ideas what to do with the fish itself?

You would have to have stairs in your house/building to do that trick I hear. Drop in on the steps at about the height on the wall you want it and then push it toward the wall and supposedly it stays at the height you dropped it on the stairs, but is now on your wall. Have yet to try this trick as I do not have stairs yet.
