Chef Archive

Now I am sure you all must have encounted and complained about this before, but now it is my turn.

So I work hard and become one of the rarest breeds, the chef. So all excited I run over to a public food and chemical crafting station to see what new and amazing foods I can produce. Needless to say I was very disapointed. The foods I can now craft are about on par with the foods a homemaker can make, except I can not experiment on them as much, or as successfully. So now I can produce inferiour foods to what a homemaker can. Also none of these foods are worth more then 100xp, so that 36000xp required for the next block looks along way off, especially when my customers would rather buy my older more useful products that don't get me chef xp. It just doesn't seem fair when compaired to the other classes.

Just hang in there Mister_Bones, the food does get better! Just with lots of time...LOTS hehe

Just go get 17k units of wheat and make several 100 wastril breads and you will be out of the trench soon enough (1 to 2 weeks)

I'm in exactly the same boat. Ifinally gotto novice chef, and I was very excited. When I realized thatthe new items I could craft asa chef were actually a STEP DOWN frommy items as an artisan, I thought: "Whoever came up with this schemehad their head screwed on backwards". Advancing in your profession shouldn't be a disappointment. When I get a new skill I expect it to be better than theprevious ones, not worse. Last time I checked,theD18 pistols you make as a novice weaponsmith are better unexperimented than the CDEF ones you can make as a masterartisan fully experimented. Where is the correlation? *sigh*

lol yup....only that song is actually amusing, wastril bread isn't as funny.

What is the best way to grind out of the novice chef rut? I've been making soypro and turning it into meatlump since I have lots of the necessary resources. Hopefully some of the next level foods will actually be fun to make.....

Just what I needed... sinking 3000+ new maintenancehard-to-come-by credits into reclaiming deed and re-adding maintenance. Running deliveries is BOOOOORING.

And the grammar in that last post was absolutely non-existent.... if you can't read it... don't ask. Hahaha.

seems like all the crafting professions get worse (after artisan) before they get better. WEaponsmiths are complaining about the same thing.
