Thread: possible ways to make chefs more useful...since players eating food is perpetually bugged.
1) make taming creatures require the use of a master chef crafted food item, saw a similar idea to this in another thread...can't remember which one atm.
2) have craftable components useable by combat medics (since food is the best kind of poison you can get now....just imagine being able to force feed a krayt a few flameouts...), doctors, and maybe BE's...
3) let us throw/forcefeed our food in its current form...then everyone will fear the chef in PvE...perma-incap while you load...then all the other professions can feel the frustrations of a chef...just have BE's, DE's be immune to it, since they're both pretty screwed too.
4) let us do something with a creature corpse...sounds strange...but think about it, a chef can tag along a big hunting group...maybe at master....maybe just at entrees 4....but when specific creatures are killed, a chef can then prepare on the spot a special dish, the buff could be really impressive since it would require that the chef be there when the creature is killed, and a corpse can't be picked up...so chefs couldn't keep a stock of it on their vendor. it could even take into account the use of poisons/diseases to reduce or prevent a corpse from being used. it could be limited to just a few types of creatures, or it could be any creature, but depend on its creature level, ferocity, etc.
I dared to eat food again today, and my secondary stats didn't crash. Is this fixed?

Well, if you only ate one item and let the buff wear off, then it should work... I haven't heard of any fixes yet on this bug... I haven't heard of ANY chef fixes or updates since this game has gone live...
Baaaah, WHY!!!, WHY, JABBA, WHY!!!! Does anyone fixing this game know how much it SUCKS to even pull the trigger on a weapon when you're malnourished and STARVING TO DEATH? AAAArrrgh, everytime I use a special my stats drop like a rock.
But I was eating ryschaTe and breath of heaven today and not crashing. Not sure what happened but when I started using carbine specials armoed up and my HAMs didn't plummet I felt like singing hallelujah.

How about a food that reduces the burst-run wait period?
It's been suggested on the Doc boards that we have innoculants against poison, disease, and states (dizzy, etc) how about food that accomplishes the same?
Food that can be used as a decoy to throw at aggro creatures? Being chased by a wolf kima and can't handle it? Throw it some massive gnort roast!
Require food for some high end camps.
