Thread: Resource site?

I just recently got back into crafting and went to use the SWGCRAFT.com site and noticed that the info was VERY old. Is there a new site or different site out there where i can find what is spawning with good stats? If not, what is worth dropping some harvies on at this moment? Thanks!

Swgcraft is only what the people on your server make it. A site that I usually use is swgresources.com. Seems pretty updated for my server.

Yeah, when a bunch of the spawns were last varified 59 days ago it seemed old lol. Those spawns obviously would no longer be valid.

Assuming you are looking for resources on the Valcyn server, I took a peek at swgcraft ('cause I was shocked by your comment since they are almost always current stats for kettemoor) and I see that most of the resources are validated within the past week--a few much newer and a few are a little bit older (spawn still current in cycle though).


There are indeed a handful of entries which probably are out of date on your server--those appear to be flora stats from two specific planets.WhatI recommend is doing what some of the rest of us do. If we see something out of date, we head to that planet, check the stats and update them. Remember, the current resources are only as good as we make them--since it's a free resource, all who use the charts are technically responsible for the upkeep lol

the only thing that needs to be updated on swgcraft in my opinion is all the schematics...alot of them are not up to date and some things that dont even exist anymore are still there.

Ok, I'm going to ask the stupid question:


Are you using the "find resources" search page, and if so did you click the "only available" box?


If you do find resources without clicking that, you're searching through the entire server history, so odds are the stuff displayed on the first page are going to be out-of-shift.


As people have said, swgcraft is only as good as the people updating it. Heavily traveled systems (Corellia, Naboo, Tatooine, Dantooine, maybe Lok) are generally more up-to-date than less traveled planets (Talus, Rori) or more dangerous planets (Yavin, Endor, Dath) where crafters have to be more careful.


If you see something listed on swgcraft that is no longer spawning, just mark it unavailable. If you sample or harvest something that's not in the database, add it. If a harvester turned off due to the resource shifting out, I'd update swgcraft. I'd also usually spend an hour or so a week checking various planets for new spawns and updating swgcraft as I traveled around doing other stuff. If nothing else, this let me place harvesters on hot new resources before the swgcraft-only miners found out about it, so I'd be more likely to be able to place a harv on a good concentration, instead of having to fit between a field of stuff already there.


I seem to recall seeing some server-specific resource sites, although the one I'm remembering was probably for Bria. You could try polling your server forum to see if crafters in your galaxy are using something other than swgcraft.

swgcraft for intrepid server is pitiful...average 50-60 days behind and even ones that say 4days are wrong on stats. I dont look at their lists anymore.

The lists are still there, they just seem to have replaced the main page.


As a workaround, you can use this site (http://dev.jessewarden.com/swg/resources/index.php?server=eclipse) to view the current resources from your server (the flash program is a little different to swgcraft.com, so it takes a little getting used to).


From using this site, it looks like the list is still intact, so all your hardwork will not have been in vain.
