Thread: Question about Pyollian Cake and Bespin Port

I am inquring about these two foods. Pyollian Cake is the one that helps crafters on the assembly roll, and Bespin Port helps with the experimentation success.

I asked a few chef's about these two items, and both said that they do not work. I was unaware of this(but since I am not a chef, I am not on top of the chef's bugs), so I am asking for some clarification on this.

Are these two foods bugged? Or were the chefs I asked wrong?

Thanks for the help.

I made Bespin port with the best food additives I could use, and only got +5 experimentation roll.

It's hard to tell if these work when they only add +5. It's hard to tell the difference in experimentation success going from 10-100, so +5 is even more difficult.

So, it's not that they don't work, it's just that the chefs you talked to tried them, and couldn't really tell the difference.

I made some with +5 and got 3 amazing success's in a row on some brandy. Most of the time i get great success's and a couple amazing's. I say it works, but the +5 is a small number so it might be hard to actually see the difference.

These are about the only thing I use heavy food additives on. Right now I'm stuck to the crap we have on tat, so I'm only at +10, but I bet it could be bumped up to +15 with good resources. I would say it works and makes a noticeable difference.

Well as most of you all know that there is a cap of +25 for everything. What if an entertainer has BE clothes for +25 wound healing and takes Carmelized Pkneb or Correlian Ale. Would it add the food stats or it wont count because the entertainer is at +25 already? Same with wound treatment BE clothes for a medic and they take Bivoli Tempari.

Bivoli Tempari Wound Treatment +7.5-11.8
Carmelized Pkneb wound healing (dancing) +7.5-12
Correlian Ale wound healing (music) +7.5-12

What if you had +25 in food experintation tapes... would you still get a +10 on top of that or it wont work because of the +25 cap?

Experiment success and expermentation are two different things. As to the stacking not sure. I believe the foods stack up no matter what, but you can't stack the skillmodfoods, even if they have low filling.

As to the Port working, absolutely. It is a noticable difference. Most important you never fail on experimentation, so it is helpful to architects especially. However that filling keeps you from doing any heavy crafting with it.

A doc friend of mine has +25 be clothing for wound treatment, and always eats +25 bivoli now when she buffs. She says that there is a 100% noticable difference, and that with the bivoli she almost always gets 3k+ buffs, so I would definatley have to say that yes, they stack above the 25 cap.

My doc has +68 BE clothes and most say only +25 works but others say there is a difference with the extra +43...

I don't believe the food bonuses are in the +25 cap. Like someone said above, the wound treatment food has a very noticeable change. The only way the food is in the +25 cap is if wound treatment clothing doesn't work.

Also look at def vs knockdown and some of the dodge foods. The bonuses are higher than 25 with even horrible experimenting. If the cap is there, the devs really screwed those foods up.
