Hello all. Well i ama MBE on Kauri, and thought i would get your opinion. After talking with my Chef in my PC we got to thinking. I supply him with alot of additves (close to 250 crates a week). But as you all know, you got to take that additve, combine it with water and do ANOTHER factory run to make your finished addtive for foods. So, here is what we have started doing. I give him a few out of the crate, he combines it with the water and makes the schem and i pop it back into one of my factorys and crank out the final additve. This saves him great about of time and one less step in the time consuming task of making brandy. I also sell additve to alot of other chefs on the server, and thining of ways to make your lives a little easier and me to make my customers happy....would this kinda thing interest you.....would you like to buy them already mixed and crated or would most of you just rather have the basic crates of BE additve and do it yourself. I am told that the quality of the water does not matter and that you do not need to experiment on this at all....so would not affect it.

Well it was my understanding that the major time sink was the factory run of tissues (something like 3 minutes of factory time per tissue). The additives themselves only take about a minute each.
Of course, you're also freeing up a factory for the chef to continue making product while waiting for the additives.
Another thing is that this would allow non-Master chefs to use heavy additives. If someone had Desserts IV and was still working up Mixology and Entrees, they could buy your pre-packaged heavyadditives to improve their Vagnerian Canapes. The same would apply with light additives for Artisans who haven't gotten Dom Arts IV.
Sounds like a useful service to me.

Sure, it'd help, but not all that much. This setup seemws more trouble than its worth unless the BE and Chef hapen to have easy access to each other, and each other's factories. So, for PA members, or crafters who live in the same player city, this would be a little easier on the Chef, but in general it's running the tissues themselves that's the real time sink, and you're already bypassing that (no doubt to your Chef's delight) by delivering crates of product instead of a schematic (the system most of us have to use).
I don't have the exact numbers on me, but running the tissue itself takes around three minutes, and the additive takes just a touch over one. So, we're more concerned about the time it takes to cook the tissues than the additives.

well ya it works great for him cuz we do see each other all the time....but for when i sell to other ppl, i can just as easy have him whip up a schem for whatever batch i have going....and i mean i have 4 factorys going just for additves (do a run of stims maybe once a week). Makes no differance to me one way or the other....just with all the bad blood floating around, i am just trying to make things a little easier byt trying to save you guys time. Also sykes, i am on your server, so if you ever do need a schem and have the resources....feel free to drop me a /tell or mail....in game name is Izox. For any other chef on kauri in need of additves....feel free to send me one also

Well 2 of my BE suppliers are in my PA. They load up the factories with the BE part and let me know which factory they are in. Once the factory is done, I walk over with my droid out, move the BE from output back to input hopper, add water and re-start. Not too difficult for me.
The one person I buy finished BE parts from only. I have no issue buying them raw and doing the water combine part on my own. I pull them from my vendor, walk them to factory, add water and run.
The one thing that would make it easy, is if I had theresources to make the BE part, but no BE to make them. Then I could see contracting the BE for the schematic only, but that opens up the whole other debate again.
If you were a Chef with say only one factory, this may help. Seems like time mispent by the BE if you ask me. You could be using your factories for pet stims or other BE goodies.
