Thread: Citros Snow Cake

Ran a few bogus tests and couldn't really get a good feel on whether or not this really works? Attack accuracy? I am unable to find a bonus modifier in my "My Mods" section which reflects any change after consuming Citros. After testing it out on one of my templated buddies i didn't notice that a +40 citros snow cake did much of anything for me... of course it was just a limited one time test, so I could be completely wrong...

Anyone have any info on whether this improves your accuracy rating with an equipped rating at all?

Thanks,

Known bug that is already fixed on the test centern (or should be...haven't had a chance to test it). From the patch notes:

  • Dodge enhancing Food now decreases your chance of being hit.
  • Accuracy increasing food now increases your chance to hit your target.

  • Thank you very much! I guess everyone is right, you do kinda rock!!

Maybe a silly question, but post patch, will existing foods suddenly start working? I have made a batch of the citros snow... should I destroy it or will the change affect it as well?

Pfft, "kinda rock" is the understatement of the year.

As for your question, the issue sounds like a problem with the calculations the game does during combat. The +accuracy from citros snow isn't getting added in right; from some reports, it gets subtracted making your aim worse. Since the patch shouldn't have to change the details of the snow cake's stats (just add them in right), anything you make now should work then.

Hmm... was not that the actual text from what will come in publish 7? That they are gonna fix the dodge food (and accuracy)? Or is it me that have been confused as usual?

    Total Necro bump

Searched on this stuff, do we KNOW its working?

From what I read here and the couple other threads this food works like the Air Cake. Its added to your chance to hit, but you do not get a visible stat/skill change?

I've got some +40 stuff, and popped on yesterday while trying to hit a guildmate of mine in a duel....Did not notice a skill mod, where I do with Ith Mist for example.

Is this a listed bug? Does this food work? Or do we at least have a warm fuzzy feeling that it does?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Would like to know also if anyone has an answer on this. Its a useful buff if it works, but its hard to prove since the + is still not listed in your skill stats once you consume it. Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

Well I would guess it works, only because of how much I sell.

I have seen proof that Air Cake works so I would guess all the +dodge foods work.

If you need proof for accuracy your probably going to have to run the test yourself. This is basically how it could be done

    Get yourself a cdef

Get a friend to accept a duel from you

Put a powerup on the cdef(stats don't matter)

Fire at the person. From the time you start to the time your powerup is used up is exactly 100 shots. Count the number of times you hit or missed

Now do the same test with Citros active.

I would do it twice with it active to see if you get the same %(or very close). If you end up with 60% and 70% for example, that is a lot of error. More than 100 shots would be needed for proof then.

You could also do the same with a creature. Just get armor and buffs and fire the cdef at something with armor and 10k+ HAM. I doubt you will be able to kill it with a cdef.

If i may be any help .. I used Citros Snow Cake for a long time and i believe it works. While i was grinding for commando i consumed alot of +40 Citros Snow Cake. Novice Commandos have very limited weapon arsenal at their disposal and only viable option is Flamethrower. But since you dont have any prior bonus for aiming heavy weapons you miss the target alot of time until you hit flame3 box. Even on the official Commando FAQ states that a novice commando should use launcher pistol until it flame 3 box. I can assure you all that +40 cake helps really alot. Even at Novice Commando you hit considerably more with cake.

Imho the situation is +40 bonus and other accuracy bonuses are not on the same scale. As i stated on the previous paragraph cake's benefits are really easy to observe once youhave a pathetic aim. Maybe on other weapons and skills +40 is not that much effective.

    This food works.

Grind any of the 3 combat branches of novice marksman. The rifle branch is easist to see. Try hitting a melee aggro mob like huurton stalkers on Dantooine with a dlt20 or laser rifle with and without the food. The improvement is quite pleasant.

Elite professions will find this food to be less useful, as they are already pretty advanced on accuracy and have access to better weapons. I do know of PvPers that will use it in specific cases:

    1. Swordsman hitting fencer, or any dodge stacker

    2. Swordsman using a powerhammer on anything important

    3. Combat prof when hit with "blind" state.

    4. Jedi trying to hit melee stacker

5.Commando using flamethrower or BH using LLC
