No, quality of trim or cask, or other component for that matter, has no effect on finaly quality.

It's fairly easy to check what does NOT have any impact: if you can't experiment, ql is irrelevant and you may as well use any old grind ql that you can get your hands on. (You should also find that there is no indicator bar next to the slot for the component)

Trim is just made us tailors only get to experiment on armour padding Which means we can sell any good rescources we mine and just use the crap
