Hello all,

I have taken upon myself to make sure Corellian Flora resources and water stay absolutely current on SWGCraft.

I am asking that others help with other planets. If people would pick one planet to keep updated it takes very little time. I spent 1.5 hours to do the initial surveying, sampling and updating SWGCraft. Now it only takes about 10 - 15 minutes to check if there is anything new out and update as needed.

SWGCradt is a great tool but only if it is updated regularly. I have looked and there are listings that have not been updated for a month or better. Its hard enough to be a Chef without having to luck upon a quality resource because one of the best reference sites is not up to date.

Please help out and post here which planet you are doing so that we aren't overlapping and wasting time.

I am used to posting in the trade forums for my sever and tend to forget these forums aren't server specific I have updated the post for the Kauri server.

Well, considering that there are, what 20 different galaxies, each with separate resource shifts, organizing a planetary split-up might be a bit overwhelming.

Of course, you are definitely right. If users don't update it, it's not that useful. I do try to check on the flora resources of various places I travel (although I don't usually travel just to update swgcraft). I've found the best method is this:

1) Open up your flora tool and /notepad

2) Write down all the flora resources from the tool into notepad, like "Abastin, Nabooian Wild Wheat", each resource to a line

3) Copy the resources out of the SWG notepad, alt-tab out of the game, paste into notepad (or another text editor).

4) Go to swgcraft, do a "find resources", select the planet you checked, "Flora Resources", and checking "Only available". It'll come back with a list sorted by name.

5) For each item in notepad, check whether it's in swgcraft. If it is, erase that line from notepad.

6) After going through all the items in notepad, everything left is new. Since there's only one type of flora per planet, mark those flora types "unavailable" in swgcraft. So if Abastin, Nabooian Wild Wheat was new, I'd mark Burtoli Nabooian Wild Wheat unavailable.

7) Copy the edited list back into SWG notepad. Sample for those resources to get stats.

8) Add the resources to swgcraft using the swgcraft_start / swgcraft_end format.

It generally only takes a half hour or so, and with the ability to survey from a bike I can usually take care of it travelling to or from my vendors or while on other errands.

Currently doing....stuff

1. agrees with sciguyCO entirely.

2. Tempest has a more reliable resource collection then SWGCraft anyways.

So any effort on my part goes in there instead. Probably why Tempest on SWGCraft is not so updated.

I just mastered Chef last week. I will take my home planet Talus.

Thank You this will be very helpfull now lets hope more people take an interest so we can find what we need easily.

Just updated everything on Talus last night, but most of it has been reported already. There's some decent Lok leathery hide and Talusian Carnivore meat.

As Sciguy pointed out, this really needs to be in your Galaxy forum. Trying to organize a list for all the separate servers in this thread is impossible. On a side note, "bumping" is against the forum rules in the discussion forums and can result in threads being locked.
