If you wanted, you could spend your entire chef career making nothing but Brandy, Ahrisa and Canape, and become rich and wealthy with a steady clientele.

Not suggesting you *should*, but if you want to know what to sell to build up your business, those are the staples. From there you can branch out and experiment with increasing the breadth and the depth of your menu.

Use your own experience in game to inform what you should make. If you play regularly in PVE or PVP, what foods do you use? What foods do your friends use? Those are the ones you'll know the most about, which should give you a place to start.

I just keep my vendor stuffed with Thaktillo/Vercupti/Ahrisa/Canape/Veghash/Air Cake/Ithorian Mist/Brandy/Bivoli/now almost useless Havla in crates...and all others in singles....my 3 characters used all the harvestors on Dant/Talus/Tat/Lok for all important Doc items as these items can be used for Chef items too...

1. Good Brandy, Ahrisa and Canape. Even synthsteak and accarragm might help, but that depends on what type of customer comes in (a novice entertainer, musician might look after a few bottles of accarragm). But start making the "safe" foods and drinks (Brandy, etc) and then look into making runs of the more unusual things. If someone requests a food I don't have, I usually look into making a full run of that stuff.

2. Fruit, Berries are two most important things. It all depends on what you'll make, but with Fruit and Berries you can make two of the most well-selling things. For Ahrisa, harvest Greens and Flowers.

3. Don't have "set" minimum values; analyse the resource; the resource might have 900 PE/OQ, 600 FL, but only 200 DR. I would still harvest it, because, combined with a good berry (if it was a fruit) it would make some very good brandy.

This is the best Fruit for brandy that has ever spawned on my server (that chef still uses): Acheiw - 271DR 775FL 919PE 923OQ

And combined with the best berry for brandy:

Iglei - 832DR 669FL 927PE 863OQ.

Unfurtunately, when these two were in spawn (at the same time!) I was a newbie chef and harvesting something I though were better. I'm still suffering from my mistake, as Iglei is impossible to find.

I've seen a lot of Citros Snow Cake being bought up from my vendor, along with the usuals that everyoen has mentioned.

Greetings fellow chefs,

Im a new chef on shadowfire and I was looking for some advice to get myself going. So far ive been able to gather some good berries and fruitfor brandy and canape. Iwas also able to get a full run of medium BE tissues for 1.4 mil or roughly 1500/tissue. I feel likeI am on the right track butI have been feeling a bit overwhelmed at all the stuff I need to get started so I would like to ask a few questions?

1) Which foods should I concentrate on until I get some steady sales?

2) Which resources should I focus on getting for components? for foods?

3) Which is the min stats I should accept when looking at resources? I say OQ/PE 700, FL 500 DR 400ish

Thanks to everyone for the advice and feel free to add any other starter tips you may have.
