Thread: Highly Frustrated New Chef

I started a second character a couple of weeks ago, Master Artisan/Master Chef. I've been planning this for a little while before i started the toon. So i had alot of things prepared, having enough harvestors, crafting station ect. One thing i was very happy to have looted was a Tusken Raider robe with +5 Mind Healing, +5 food experimentation. So i figured great soon as i start the toon and master chef with the robe and the crafters apron i'm already an 11 point chef. Uh...can't wear a robe and apron at the same time.......Ok, slightly annoyed. A friend in my guild sends me a tell, she found a blouse for me, a little girly but whatever. +14 food experimentation. I told her i loved her like 200 times. I get back to my crafting pad and try to put it on and guess what??? I can't wear a blouse!!!! I assume this is because my toon is male. I'm so incredibly frustrated atm i need a couple of days to relax before i log my Chef in. If anyone has any suggestions or comments please share. I could use a laugh or someone elses annoying stories to make me feel better.

hey, i have a suggestion, if you dont have to much stuff just make a female toon because it is hard to come across something that good so quickly
Story:
One time my guild had a chef suit, the guy said it was +20Exp +11Assem so i thought "Man i get to be 12 point." Well of course it was to good to be true, he never gets on so it took 2 weeks to get to him and when i encountered him i found he cpu SUCKS because he got on and it took him 15 minutes to log in, i keep my patience, it was all for the better.
Finally he gets on, and he has second guesses about letting me borrow his suit, it made me so mad, so i planned on buying a different suit for 30 million credits. Ok, not to bad for a nice suit but a day after i buy the suit he lets me borrow his, so i sell the suit for 30million.
He gives me suit and, i count over and over and over and it counts over and over only to be +19 exp, so then i try another week to get a +1 only to find out i cannot wear the tusken boots in the suit (because i am a girl)
At this point i am frustrated so bad, i get it all worked out in the end....im sure it will for you to

Thanks for replying, i was thinking about grinding a female character, but the thought of grinding chef, artisan and merchant again is stopping me. I've manage to find enough tapes to give me an 11 point chef, but the cost of the skills tapes i've found to get me to 12 points is completely out of line. Or maybe just out of line in my own head. Though food exper. tapes are rare, i've never looted even one, in the thousands of tapes i've gotten. Grr i'll keep collecting ingredients and decide what i'm going to do.

You can ask on the trade forum is there any females that are chef that would be willing to trade experimental clothes. Say you have looted a +14 food experiment but its a blouse and looking to trade for 14pts in other clothes.

I think you should make a female toon too. For me, it took maybe half a week to grind chef and artisan (merchant would take longer, but master probly won't be beneficial to you for a while anyway). Getting the tapes to be a 12 pointer, cost me over 25 mil and at least 4 months of forum searching. You may get luckier if you keep looking but if it were me, I'd grunt, curse, and start looking for grind resources to grind a new toon.
I spose you could try to trade or sell the blouse, but I don't see how it would be appropriate to sell a present from someone like that. <-- my $.02

I cant get 20 exp points because I am poor and not good enough at combat to loot anything!

PS if you are a Chef on Eclipse and are quitting Chef give me your suit! lol really though if you are a Chef on eclipse send me a PM. I'm starting a mini mall so maybe we can be partners

For +14, go the lora croft root. Look at it this way, you can stare at her ass while you craft.

ya keep at it. took me 4 months or so to collect great resources and get to a 12pt chef.

I know on my server a +15 foor exp went for 30 mill, might try to sell and purchase another, or just go camp nyax for a while too.
