A guildmate of mine used to be a fantastic chef, untit left the game, recently he is coming back and im trying to find out what are the big sellers we can focus on to drive our business. When he left, it was Brandy, Ahrisa, Pikatta pie. What are good items to focus on at first?

Those still are big sellers, especially Brandy and Ahrisa. Canape sells very well too. I actually sell more Canape than Brandy.

Rakirrian Burnout Sauce. I mean, right in the description it's laid out as an "extremely spicy sauce".

Ok, seriously, it sounds like he hasn't been gone that long (it's not like he's coming back from before the chef revamp). Mind foods are still big sellers, and probably will be for a while. Vercupti is a good stat boost, especially if he can get high DR/OQ resources to hit 50 filling. Bivoli is in big demand by doctors. Havla is probably on the decline, due to a recent reduction in doctor healing/buffing timers.

I'm also seeing a lot of Citros Snow Cake and synthsteak sales in the last few weeks..not sure why

next question is for me, what qualifies as a basic component, to use crappy resources on, like alcohol and sub comps like that?

Alcohol, Soypro, Bantha Butter, Protato are all components. If you are making Vespargine (sp?), it needs Veghash as a component (ie. its quality has no impact, so don't waste good resurces or additives on it).
