I am just now making my way to novice chef, but i have made a killing just selling the dom arts line of stuff. The reason i havent gone chef sooner is after seeing what the buffs do at chef, its harldy worth the trouble. most of the stuff is no better than what i can do with dom arts. here are my thoughts/hints

#1-the factory stuff is insane. im sure they will fix it. nuff said. i only use mine for dough and carbosyrup right now

#2-marketing--i name my food like this---if its aitha for example once i have it done i mulitply the hits * the buff and name it Act/Mind Buff (+200/+200). that way a person on the bazaar can quickly see what the benefit is. I sell aitha for about 250-270. I have never failed to sell a posted sale. most players have no idea what aitha is and arent gonna hit details on every item.

#3-you have to educate the consumers. many players have no clue what the 6 secondary stats are good for. they only care about HAM. I had a bounty hunter moaning about the HAM his spec. attacks used and how is tattooine sunburn and neutron pixie were of no use. once i explained to him that buffing quickness, not actionis the best way to reduce HAM costs of carbines, he has been a profitable customer. i can sell carnilzed pnkeb for 370(action) and kanalli wafers for 300 (quickness) once they understand this.

#4-the buffs need to be much better at chef level in terms of total pts added. dom arts stuff is fine for buffing for noob battles, but the chef stuff is not worth much for big battles. maybe you can survive 1 more hit, big deal.duration should be low for dom arts stuff (No more than 3-4 min) and up to 10 min for chef stuff but nomore. players should not be able to perma buff. it should be something you do right before a big battle. the better the chef, the better the stuff for longer battles....

#5-the total buff and time should correspond with the skill level. that is not very clean right now.

#6-as you go up the tree, more multi stat buffs. a level 4 chef stuff should be able to buff a player at least double any given stat. i would like to see some +1500 buffs with a 2-3 min duration.

#7-the buff should be instant if you are in a camp or structure. not have to sit and watch your HAM meet the new max. that wastes 1/2 the duration if its a really good buff. so that people cant use them as combat medicine, just disallow eating/drinking during combat.

Glad your doing so well, and helping to educate the public. However, your post title is a bit misleading. You're not a chef, your only making and selling Dom foods. There is a huge difference in your tactics vs a real chef. But your doing a great job so far, keep educating the masses!

what difference is there? you have more schematics, thats about it. i will be there soon though. i see that the xp for factory food is quite good it seems. i may use it for actual food just for the xp. i made 100 carbosyrup and got 2000 xp, i was not expecting that. it wont change my marketing, i will just charge more for the good stuff and not make the useless stuff

How do you get aitha to +200, I am maxed out in the domestic arts and even into the chef, and the best i get is around 90.

Artisan experimentation is dependent only on artisan skills - you need Engineering IV to get the best experimentation. Also the quality of ingredients has a big effect. I haven't tried hard to get the best possible aitha, but that might explain the difference in quality.

Either you missed something when looking at your exp (like UXP while the factory was producing) or you have uncovered a major bug/exploit. Exp from factories is 10% and that is was all of us but you are seeing.
