ok....im not a chef..but ...i see alot of posts about "factories"stating the they dont make as good a product as hand crafted (i relize that factories dont work well at this point)(bugs and such but im not addresing that point) well...i dont think they should..at all..even "if" they do get them working..isant that why your a chef?..i do belivr you should have the option to use factories..but they should never make as good a product as hand crafting...EVER!..i mean..if your a cheff and you make lets say air cake...you make it by hand, one batch at a time.yes it should have high "buffs" to it..but if you take that same resipie.slap it in a factorie..it should not have the same proprities as hand crafted...thats the diffrence between "fast food" and "resterant"...i mean have you had a "tv dinner" latley?maby one of thoes salsbarry stake?..i have and i have had some greate ones before..but never from a box...only from a resterant...and yes for a good meal i will pay more...im not going to pay 13$ for a tv dinner...but i will pay that for a cake from emirald...do you get my point...im not shure how every one seems to think that a factorie should make "super cake"i mean realy...it dosnt make sence to me at all...why wold an automated factory make the same cake as a very talanted chef?i dont think there should be a "huge" diffrence from one to the other but i do think there should be one.i mean your making 100 of this things...you have to be willing to make a choice...quality over quanity...if you just wana make a buck then yeah slap it in the factoriey...but if you wnat the best, you need to find the guy that makes them from scratch...some one who takes time, tests the salt/by taste..mesures by experionce and skill...not buys a bag-o-sea-salt...slaps it in a factory at some pre determind quanity and pushes go..ill tell you right now i love to eat at a good resterant with a good chef that dosnt un pack the "hungry man dinner" slaps som parsley on it and says WALA!...i hope iv been clear on this...i xpect people to disagree...but this is just the way i see things..

The problem isn't with the quality of the food that comes out, but the quantity. A chef can spend experimentation points on "quantity" while hand crafting, which gives the resulting item more uses per stack. The problem is if we make a schematic using that updated quantity, the resulting crate only has single-use foods that you can peel off. So a good chef can hand-craft a wastril bread with 7 uses using 45 resources. A factory can make a crate of 50 using 2250 resources. Those same resources could've been hand-crafted to make 50seven use stacks for a total of 350. We're losing over 85% of our expected output.

If this had been an across-the-board design decision, it might be something that could be adjusted to. But when doctors craft stimpacks in factories, they get crates of 50 ten use stimpacks (or more if they experiment on the dosage). I'm not sure of what other multi-use items there are (droid batteries come to mind), but I haven't seen this quantity issue come up from anyone other than chefs.

So if factories are for mass producing, we keep wondering why we don't get the mass.

Next time try to break your thoughts into paragraphs, it helps to understand your point. If this were so wouldn't the same be said for every crafted object?

In terms of quality on a factory(any factory) is that the negative side become the fact that you can only use the ONE schematic. You have to have a BULK of that same resc. to make the schematicc work, and you have to pay money for it BESIDES the resc. money you paid. So even if the factory makes high quality objects, the cost and maintenence(not just in cash form) become the drawback. I'm terrible with maintenence, and I don't think i'll use a food factory for a good long while. Although someone else posted that they use their fac only for simple components( Alchohol/Sullustian Gin) and I like that idea...a big old stock of alchohol would be nice.

If thats the case, then weapon parts shouldnt be as good made by a factory, armor parts not as good, and so on. This is a game, not reality. If one group gets the same quality in the factory as making by hand, then all should. A game is suppose to be fair. Under your idea, it would not be.

Another totally pointless, poorly thought through, and unnecessary post.

And....paragraphs are your friend.
