ok, so it seems after getting master tailor and pistoleer i have 66 points left.

I ditched smuggler cause i dont like it anymore, so i could get almost master medic, but im thinking of devoting some to chef, im thinking mixology 2, and experimenting 3.

But before i devote the time to this, im just wondering, are these points worth spending? or should i forget it and dump it all into medic?

I just wanted some flavor (no pun) in my character is all.

Thanks all

Dont you guys remember in Return of the Jedi when Yoda said to luke
"luke, you must kill 1000 ewoks to become l33t !"

Dropped smuggler???? D'oh. I mastered smuggler and pistoleer and man, I am never changing a thing. However, I want to be a chef, too , so I am buying an account for my GF, and making her a chef. Man, won't she be thrilled. Not only does chef look cool, but I never see any. I'm on chilastra, and I always look in the bizaar, and i find no chef made items, just artisan stuffs.

I wish we could have alts, but having a few lines in a cool field is then next best thing, I guess.

chef isn't currently a cool field really... you get a few decent buffs at master, and about 3 before that(as well as sunburn which is ridiculous).

I wouldn't recommend chef as a secondary profession unless you had a specific interest in it...

The reason most bazaar items are dom arts is because they are better then chef items (at least, without experimentation). That should be your first clue as to the problems with the profession. You might want to try to get novice chef and then make your decision from there, it's a big jump in commitment after that.

Right now chef buffs aren't that good and we can't mass produce food to meet demand. I watch Smugglers charge 2000 per slice up to 15% or something and then more if it goes over. There are a lot more rewarding careers than chef seems to be.

If you like that sort of thing, then by all means be a chef.
