I want to confirm what someone just told me.

I was trying to sell him the usual 25-serving crate of pet food, and he said "no thanks, i was looking for the 245-size crates of pet food that Bios sell"

This is the first I heard that Bio Engineers made pet food, and that they could make crates that are almost ten times the size of our own.

If this is true, then there goes the entire Pet Food market.

Hmmm, that would be discouraging. I'm hoping it was just a typo, or someone was just pulling his leg and he was out chasing the snipe.

I think someone was pulling his leg. I've never been able to get my pet to eat any of the items I can make.. and I'm pretty sure I'm glad of that! Might end up with some mutant 6 legged, 2 tailed monster. And as no BE item currently works in a factory, even if I could force my pet to eat it, I couldnt make it into a 245 item crate.

Perhaps he was referring to Pet Stims. That is the only pet 'Buff' related item that I can think of.

I'd agree with that, he was looking for a 245 ham heal pet stim and didn't know what it was he needed.

Actually, it looks to me like it's a 49 item crate, with each item having 5 doses (adds BE to list of professions with working multi-dose items coming out of factories...) The 25/50 are crate maxes for the item, you can have any volume up to that. With the factory bug, a lot of people are finding that doing a -1 run on a schematic (like 99 instead of 100) can help keeping it running without re-deeding or waiting for reset. Or it may have components that the crafter made in a factory (50 item run) that then had to be combined into the stim schematic (now only 49 components left, so can only make 49 final items).

Given that crates of 25 and 50 are the only known sizes, and that 245 doesn't divide by either of those numbers, I'm guessing that it wasn't even a stim crate. Someone just pulling his leg.

as a bio engineer, i can tell you with great confidence that there is nothing that we can produce from a factory. it's one of our biggest peeves with soe (alonside the fact that wild pets are better than crafted pets).

Just to restate this, As a master BE, I can swear there is nothing a BE makes which can be made in a factory. They why all our stuff seems overpriced compared to the resources used (to cover Carpal Tunnel expenses), and why I constantly give iritated people wondering why I don't sell crates of pet stims. Nothing we make competes with your food. I wish the stuff we made enhanced your food, lol.
