I decided Pistoleer is not for me. Too many other pistoleers, and there really isn't any variety in it. Its just bleed > doubletap > doubletap > stopping shot > dead. I'm already close to Teras Kasi Master and I love it... No need to have two combatprofessions and one that you don't even like.I thought being a Chef would be cool. Not many people do that. Is chef fun? Is it worthwhile?

worthwile? no... the devs pay little attention to the "buffers" of the game.

You need to know what you want out of it, I think. Is it fun? I think it is. I enjoy crafting,and there are a lot of things you can make (which means more fun to me). Is it worthwhile? Well, depends on what you consider fun really. Worthwhile as in are you going to make a lot of money? No. Are you going to make enough? You can if you work at it, more so than other professions, I think. Of course everyone's terms of what's "enough" vary.

There are problems with it, broken factories, missing ingredients (milk), buffs not lasting (except for some noted exceptions), no seeming order to the items giving buffs - you can do very well on the Domestics foods and be done with it really. *shrugs* There are other classes with balance issues as well - there are just fewer Chefs than say Commandos

Anyway, *I* think it's a hoot You don't have to work really hard at it if you don't want to, yes there's "grinding" (if you let it be that way), but I have quite a bit of fun with it now. I get to make a lot of different things, experiment a bit - mind you I'm still a young Chef to boot. I've a pretty good clientele and a friend and I are going to open her Cantina this weekend =) It'll be a blast - good food, good company. Games aren't all just about hunting.

I think you hit the nail on the head - not everyone does it. That makes it attractive for me, just by itself. Worse case scenario- try it, and if you don't like it, drop it. Just don't grind. Make foods and have fun Good luck!

I wouldn't really be in it for the money. I like hanging out in the cantina, so being a chef would give me a reason to . I also group up a lot with my friends, and I think (or hope...) that the buffs would be useful to me and my friends while we're out.
