Where have all the creatures gone? Before the latest patch, Endor and Dathomir used to be swarming with creatures both red and yellow. Now I walk around those places and its like being in Theed or Coronet. On endor, I walked from the Smugglers outpost to the Research outpost and was about 95% of the way there before I finally ran into some Blurrgs. It used to be that the north part of the map on Endor (up in the desert) was covered in Mereks and Arachnes. Now there is nothing. Am I missing something here?

LoK levels seem to be normal though. I dont understand. Does anyone know whats going on?

Yeah there was a thread on here last week about the same thing, seems the general consenus was that player traffic is directly related to the spawn rates of mobs...

Hello,

Im not a Chef, actually im a Master Pikeman, and usually on my hunts ill harvest hides or bones to sell/use later on. but a lot of the times i cant find a good hide or bone to harvest and decided to start harvesting meat when i cant find what i need.

my question is, what do i need to look for in the meat stats to know if its even worth harvesting to sell to chefs.

thank you,

In most meats.....PE is the most important as it affects the nutrition(power) ofmost foods. Overall Quality is the next important stat. It affects almost every stat on the product but at a lower percentage. Most people are willing to accept a lower flavor and decay resistance if the OQ and PE are over 900.

Potential Energy 900+

Overall Quality 850+

Flavor ?

Decay Resistance ?

I usually won't buy meats unless it meets the requirements above but Bio Engineers can still use lower stat meat.

Of course with everything there is exceptions like insect meat with good decay makes a 50 fill vercupti and so on. Just talk to your chefs on your server every time you see something you are not sure on and they will be more than happy to fill you in because after all it helps them to have a knowledgable supplier

***Forgot to mention that Bio Engineers only use the OQ, PE, and Flavor to make their food tissues so a subpar Decay stat does not hurt them.

For the first many months I played SWG most all of my time was spent hunting and dealing with crafters who buy hunted products on behalf of an organized group of fellow hunters. One of our server's most prominent BE's (Iobew from Mad Cow Bio Industries...now retired) used to have an open door meat buying policy with a price list as follows:

OQ+PE > 1500 = 20cpu

OQ+PE > 1750 = 30cpu

OQ+PE > 1800 = 40cpu

OQ+PE > 1850 = 50cpu

OQ+PE > 1900 = "we can negotiate"

This policy stood for months and he never refused any offers. I can also attest to the fact that many of the my server's largest chefs abided by similar guidelines and pricing (tho each one had their own specific quirks).

As my alt is now a buyer of meats (12pt Master Chef who does all his own resource collection for BE tissues) and the publisher of a guild newsletter that tracks animal spawns and buyers on our server.....I can attest that a similar structure for the grading and buying of meats for chef / BE use is still in effect (very high quality insect meats and carn meats are also in demand by chefs...tho to a considerably lesser extent....and carry with them their own method of pricing).

Admitedly the above grading system and especially price structure is unique to our server and related economy.....but I think it exemplifies how many chefs / BEs look upon the purchasing of meats from hunters.

Another thing to consider as well is that when it comes time to do a tissue run we like to have 20k meat stacks in order to do a full 1000 unit run. As such, most chefs and BEs limit their purchasing to certain spawns so that they stack the meats that come in the door.....but will almost always buy any quality meat in a stand-alone 20k stack.

Another suggestion is just to send a quick mail out to a few of your server's largest chefs or BE's. There are many of them (myself as one) who regularly send out a brief mail to hunters they are aware of and outline what spawns they are buying and at what prices.

As a fellow hunter and a resource buyer....I hope I have shed a little light on things for ya here
