Hi everyone,
I picked up my 90 day reward for 30k of any resource. I am in dire need of some high quality fruit to use for brandy. I'm a newish chef on Gorath, so I'm not sure what my best option will be. I used the ever so handy search feature over at swgcraft.com and found two options which I am considering, and would love to hear what some more experienced chefs have to say on the matter.

Auged - Nabooian fruit. OQ:962 DR:897 FL:780 PE:682
OR
Centraepo - Dantooinian fruit. OQ:934 DR:965 FL:262 PE:1000

Not a chance on Auged.That stuff is horrible. If you are new to chef you probably need the credits or a ton of resources more than a shot of 30k uber stuff. Finda doctor and see how much he will pay for avian meat or an armorsmith with ores and such.Turn around and buy a ton of quality resources for chef with the credits. You could probably trade it for some food exp. attachments as well.

Agree,

the best berries will rarely go above 20cpu...while the best Avian meat will easily reach 100-150cpu.

Sell it, and buy the resources,harvestors, or SEA's you need.

centraepo, i am on gorath and i use that all the time, and for berries which is important get Athmour 984 OQ 956 PE 846 FL 921 DR, if you have some thats great, but you need it badly

Take your 30k resource kit to an esablished Master Chef. Offer him the kit for 150k of excellent fruit. I know I would take that deal in a heartbeat. Then again, it depends on the server and what spawns there have been.

Either way, KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE IN THAT KIT. Those kits are gold. If you want to sell it for 3 million or so, go right ahead. I wouldnt though. Use it to get resources, either by using it to make 30k of some CREATURE resource that you need, or trade it to get a truckload of excellent flora. For chefs, resources are everything. With the right resources you dont need 12pts in order to make an excellent living.

Think carefully. What you have in that kit is a lot more than just 30k of whatever you want.

That is one heck of a good idea. I would be glad to give someone 150k of top end fruits or berries, (or a mix of a bunch of stuff) to be able to get me 30k uber milk, or get my docs 30k of the top end avian.

That older chef will probably have a ton of the "best" stuff, but would still love to get 30k of the "godly". and 30k fruits or berries in Brandy is only one run, would be gone in a week, and you would be back to the start.

We had berries go to 80 cpu on Chimaera a month ago... but ok, it was close to a year old, and nothing had ever been close to those stats

Until the day something with 1000 PE and 987 OQ spawned...

If I was only a chef, I would sell the kits or get a nice xwing. Chefs use way too many resources to make 30k of anything worth while.

If you want to get a resource for use, then I would say go with insect meat. 30k of that will last for a 3 runs of Vercupti (since it's only 10k of insect meat per run of 20 crates). And thisshould be double-buff if you also have good stats on the other resources (which I've found easier to acquire than the insect meat).

If your server is anything like Kettemoor, then you'll make more -- a lot more -- than 3 million total off of almost 60 full crates of double-buff vercupti. Yes, there are the costs for the additives and the other resources, but figure 250k/crate which is low on Kettemoor. Take that times 60 crates (for ease of calculation) and you come up with 15 million in revenue (only you can figure your costs and profit margin).

The other chef items thatrequire great stats from less common materials really don't make as much sense because they won't be able to sell for as much (T'illa T'ill, for example).

someone has never heard of Bria... our docs pay 250cpu for good avian, WHILE its in spawn

same on shadowfire, day those kits hit, docs were buying avian called amerca at 300cpu per 30k stacks, some spend like 200mil on the stuff.

It had just been on shift...but was endor...so no birds to actually drop it. Now its all over the place and the buffs that come from it are like 3:30 / +950 or mine were at least
