I am worried about not being able to obtain enough BE supplies, however going Chef/BE makes for a slightly limited template. These are the two templates I have come up with ....

Master Armoursmith/Master Weaponsmith/Master Chef/Artisan 4441 (2 spare skillpoints)
Artisan 0441/Novice Entertainer/Medic 0004/Scout 0040/Master Chef/Master Bio-Engineer (0 spare skillpoints)

As you can see the non bio-engineer one also gives me the chance to make weapons and armour (I'm more interested in food at this point, but the option to 'play' around with those does appeal and I have already been a BE in the past so would rather be trying new things). Therefore I am wondering if BE supplies will be a large problem to me or not ?

How much of a problem is experimentation now the CU has hit, I possibly could get to 11 point but 12 may take me quite some time to obtain, is the difference less of an issue now ?

Interesting you say that, after playing with the char builder I decided on a slightly different setup in the end. Master Artisan/Master Weaponsmith/Master Chef/Scout 4000/Merchant 0003.

The only thing that worries me now is not being able to get enough BE ingredients, I managed to pick up some using vendor search last night but the market is hardly overflowing with them. I've already been BE in the past for quite sometime so don't really want to be one again if I can avoid it (not that I didn't like it, but its good to have a change).

This is whatI decided upon:Artisian 0/4/4/4 Master Chef BE 0/4/0/4 Merchant 3/4/0/0

I have a feeling that with my stim crafting and Chef items I will be making It will really limit my time playing my other toon.

I hate Auctions they take to long and to poor for buyouts
Drop of all items I win to just outside Idlewind Springs, Naboo
-232 392 on any vendor

Master Chef, Master Artisan, Master Merchant, Tailor 0010 (for Trim - you need that ALOT), Architect 4000 (for the heck of it, and you always need some furniture sometimes )

But I have to admit, that Master Merchant these days barely has any effect anymore.
Hiring is nice if you want to place new vendors and want to dress them.
Efficiency gives you Merchant Tent optiona nd reduced Maint fee (kinda nice, but you can live with 20% higher costs)
Advertising gives you the Barker droid and Map registration but since the vendor search both is kinda obsolete.

Management is the only "really useful" tree with more vendors and greater capacity

I am also Master Chef, Master Artisan, Master Merchant, Tailor 0010, and Architect 4200 (so I can decorate for the heck of it ). I have master merchant mostly for the storage. (Yes, I know this is naughty but I'm a naughty girl).

id love to see you manage to keep vendors for AS, WS and Chef fully stocked!! How many lots do you have that you can stick factories on?

I have 50ish spare SP on my chef cos i dont have time for anything else (they used to be taken up in politician)

Unless you have 2 characters i dont really think master BE/Master chef is viable anymore, as you need a fair chunk of merchant to be any good. You also must have 4xxx artisan for the experimentation points (half chef foods are in srtisan now)

I personally cant imagine being a chefpost cu without my +2 chef suit, all my artisan exp points (plus my artisan +2 suit), a decent amount of merchant, survey 4 skills and 0010 Tailor. I suppose it can be done based onvarious playstyles and the amount of guild or friend support you have. My alt isa BE and my husband's alt is a Ranger so I dont worry about additives or creature resources. Idont run a high volume business by choice, and I do have wonderful guild support for extra lots and such, but I still find I need all of this to enjoy Chef with a minimum of hassle.
