Thread: [Nutritious Jedi Food]: A Chef's guide to his/her Jedi Supermarket
Introduction
Jedi are one of the Chef's noteworthy customers, thanks to the amount of players playing them. Many of us Chef's are even made up from a Jedi alt. Jedi are more dependent on food than other professions, due to their lack of armor. As a Jedi I thought I should supply you with this guide, based on my experience as Jedi/Chef. In this guide I have not bothered with any of the food that gives just a few seconds of effect. Anything less than 7min was scrapped.
It should be noted that non-Jedi professions work different. Non-Jedi professions have greater use for Health Regen, and especially Doctors have more use for Mind Regeneration (that Jedi dont need at all).
Some of the values are estimated, and many are based on famous 12pt chefs on Corbantis.
If someone can offer additional info and point out mistakes, let me know.
Green is reccomended
Red is not reccomended
Combining the right foods and a buff can easily give you:
Health: 6217
Health Regen: +650x120%x110%
Action Regen: +620x120%x110%
Mind Regen: +450x80%x110%
For 7min, and a pretty good boost for 35minutes after that.
You just need to pay the price.
"Buffs"
Here are the rules:
Health: Medium priority
Health Regeneration: Low priority
Action: High priority
Mind: Low priority
Reasoning:
* The faster the Jedi are, the more Action they need. Look for "Action Regeneration" on the food. Sap and Stun can easily render most MLS templates useless if they dont watch themselves.
* When to select between health and action, remember that you can heal health. Many good foods give health+action in one food.
* When to select between health and health regeneration, remember that you are a Jedi, your heals are your regen. You just need enough to survive until you get the heals made.
* Jedi do not need mind, ignore "Mind Regeneration" on the food you buy
* If you play your Doctor Alt... dont bother about this list. The boosts you need are often the direct opposite of what you need as Jedi.
Combo 1
Light, Long Lasting Stuff: (10 Fill, 45min)
Bofa Treat: H: +170
Blob Candy: AR: +170
Spiced Tea (Drink): MR: +170
Light, Long Lasting Stuff: (16 Fill, 45min)
Caf (Drink): H: +170 MR: +100
Kanali Wafers: H: +170 HR: +100
Teltier Noodels: H: +170 AR: +100
Conclusion: Thanks to long duration/low filling, all theese are useful. By combining all the greenfood(not caf) together with all theheavy buff foodstuff in Combo 2, a Neutron Pixie and a Doctors Buff, you get the combo describedin the beginning of this guide. You should take this combo along with the Doctor buff before taking on something heavy (Corellian Corvette, DWB, Mellichae, PvP...)
Combining the bonuses above gives:
+680 Health
+100 Health Regeneration
+270 Action Regeneration
+100 Mind Regeneration
For 45min, about 50 food filling and 16 drink filling.
Combo 2
"Buff" (50fill, 7min)
Breath of Heaven (Drink): H: +400, HR: +200, AR: +200, MR: +50
Mandalorian Wine (Drink): H: +400, HR: +50, AR: +200, MR: +200
Vercupti (Food): H: +400, HR: +200, AR: +50, MR: +200
Conclusion: This is a heavy food, a replacement for a regular buff. They can be combined with other foodstuff, and all 3 can be combined for a massive boost. The duration is not long though. By combining all theese three together with thelong lasting low-filling food (not caf) in Combo 1, a Neutron Pixie and a Doctors Buff, you get the combo described in the beginning of this guide.
Medium Food Stuff 1: (33fill, 13:30min)
Kiwik Clusjo Swirl (Food): H: +150, AR: +200, MR: +50
Vagnarian Canape (Food): H: +150, HR: +50, MR: +200
Won Won (Food): H: +150, HR: +200, AR: +50
Conclusion: Go for Kiwik Clusjo Swirl. Thats what you need. Hold it until you feel that your action is running low and you already took a Scrimpi, then take it.
Medium Food Stuff 2: (33fill, 17:10min)
Ahrisa: H: +180, MR: +200
Gruuvan Shaal: H: +180, HR: +200
Scrimpi: H: +180, AR: +200
Conclusion: Go for Scrimpi. Thats what you need. Hold it until you feel that your action is running low, then take it.
Medium Drink Stuff (37 Fill, 7min)
Accaragm: HR: +100, AR: +200, MR: +200
Garrmorrl: HR: +190, AR: +200, MR: +50
Vasarian Brandy: HR: +190, AR: +200, MR: +50
Conclusion: Brandy is still the winner, but go for low filling on this, or consider Breath of Heaven instead (or combine with).Hold it until you feel that your action is running low, then take it.
Spice (15min + Downtimer):
Neutron Pixie: H: +20%, HR: +20%, AR: +20%, MR: -20%
Moun Gold: H: +20%, HR: +20%, AR: -20%, MR: +20%
Conclusion: If you need spice, take Neutron Pixie. Moun Gold cripples you.
(Safety Tip for new players: Take spiceduring battle. Not while waiting for things to happen)
Accuracy
Sadly Lightsabers are borked right now, for us who didnt got enough crystals before the CU. There are several situations in which a regular weapon (uncertified) can replace the Lightsaber and do a much more effective job. Lootgrinding with VibroLance (no forcecost), shooting stuff at 65m with a Laser Rifle, or gunning down a running/stoppingshot BH with a Featherweight FWG5...
This can also give you assistance if you are a Lightsaber user against someone with particulary high defense, or love to blind you nonstop.
Accuracy Food
Crispic: Melee Accuracy +70, Ranged Accuracy +40, 11min, 16 Filling
Defense
Defense Food:
Elshandruu Pica Thundercloud: +90 Ranged Defense, 17min, 15fill
Vegeparsine: +100 Melee Defense, 16min, 27fill
The actual effect on theese are debated. They give a boost above what you can get from defender, but do you need more than 850 defense? And do 120 Defense actually help a non-defender at all? Your call. BE Wear appears to be broken right now, so dont think you get +150 defense with theese+BE wear. They are capped at +25 and they give no effect to damage/misses.
Dodge Food (effects estimated):
Air Cake: +25% for 15min, 9fill
Pikatta Pie: +50% for 22min, 28fill
How theese actually works have been debated for a long time. Some claims it to be 150% bonus to melee/ranged defense. Others claim it to be a static 50% dodge effect (like Block).
Some claims it gives a better boost if you have high defenses. Some claims it gives a better boost if you have low defenses.
You need to try for themselves if they work for you.
For non Healers non Enhancers
The people who do not have any kind of resistance vs Poison/Disease/Bleed might want to take a look at theese if they know Combat Medics and Bleeders are around. And I shouldnt say it, but any anti-bleed bonus cripple 1h lightsaber fighters. Its also an excellent defense vs Nightsisters that often do nasty bleeds.
Anti Food (15fill, 25min)
Blood Chowder: Anti Bleed (Resist/Absorb)
Cho-Nor-Hoola: Anti Poison (Resist/Absorb)
Havla: Anti Disease (Resist/Absorb)
Trimipan: Anti Fire (Resist/Absorb)
Anti Drink (15fill, 15min)
Durindfire: Anti Poison (Resist/Absorb)
Corellian Brandy: Anti Disease (Resist/Absorb)
Ithorian Mist: Anti Fire (Resist/Absorb)
Veronian Berry Wine: Anti Bleed (Resist/Absorb)
Cures (50 fill, instant)
Dustcrepe: (Food) Cure Disease
Jaar: (Drink) Cure Poison
Movement
For the people who do not have Forcerun and feel that they move to slow, im just mentioning the following:
Movement Boosters:
Travel Biscuits: +11 Terrain Negotiation, 20min, 8fill
Parwan Nutricake: Boosted Burstrun, 29fill

Have you CONFIRMED being able to do this. Cause all I hear about is how two chef items with the same stat buffs do NOT stack.
I can't confirm with complete 110% confidence about regen stats (since there's nothing to directly check on the character sheet), but using different +Health foods definitely stacks. I popped both a BoH and a Vercupti, and my Health stat increased roughly 950 (+475ish from each).
This was introduced a week or two after the CU went Live. There was a short period of time were foods affecting the same stat wouldn't stack, maybe you're working from old information?

Good guide
Personally I prefer things like accarragm and mando wine because of their added mind regen. Channel force tends to wipe my mind out pretty badly and it takes considerably longer to regen. Plus the health pool can just be healed so if given a choice between health regen and mind regen, I'll usually take the mind. Also, as far as spice goes, consider booster blueOnce again my preference of -20% health regen over -20% mind regen hehe
Oh and the brandy/accarragm (whichever you choose) is best made with a filling additive that'll put it over 16min with 50 or less filling IMO.
When I channel I always use up 1/4 of my action and about 1/7 of my mindbar.
Even when I do not use any food at all, my action will be the bar used up the most when channeling.
To regenerate faster I sit down or meditate while channeling.
Even if I push down my mindbar alot, there's still nothing I have that uses mind... ![]()
I have not yet experimented with Long-Lasting Accaragm/Brandy. With their short duration there seemed to be better picks with lower filling...
But this might change ^_^

speaking of old information, i was just wondering, when was the food chart last updated? i'm curious cuz some of the info on it hasn't been filled in yet, and there are a few seeming conflicting numbers.
p.s. is there an alphabatized version of the chart somewhere? or do i have to get Excel to do that with the spreadsheet?

I am finding that for grinding as a mid level Padawan that Gralinyn Juice is a tremendous help. I am at work and do not have the exact stats on my atm, but I went from missing 7 or 8 times out of 10 to only missing maybe 2 times out of ten. Only thing is Graliyny is stictly an accuracy to creature attacks.
use the flavour enhancing nutrients as you need to get the recovery time to over 96% for parwan to be truly effective.
(sorry for the rant, but im fed up explaining to customers why my parwan works and why 95% of the other chefs on the servers dosent, its a great food when made correctly and every other chef using bsn to make it just makes the food look entirely useless to our customer base and stops them buying the stuff thats made properly)
