Currently spices can be stacked exactly like foods can but with absolutely no filling. Downtime appears to be 30 seconds at most no matter how many you take. Spices take almost no resources and those that they do take are just grind quality.
What does this mean to chef? Insanely better buffs for cheaper than foods & drinks.
So, as a chef, I'd like to know if we can expect this to be a permanent thing.

I do hope it gets changed as one of the points to the CU was to get rid of people running around with insane HAM bars... So I would think that it isnt a perminant fixture, although saying that it will more than likely take them a few months to get around to it.

I assume its a bug that appeared when the fixed the issues with chef foods not stacking.
I agree though that the downers are ridicilously low and stacking something that has no filling is just not good.

The thing is, if they remove ALL spice stacking like it was before, then you'll see literally only one spice ever being sold, just like before. People won't bother to buy anything but Neutron Pixie if they can take only spice at a time.
I kinda hope there's some compromise that can allow multiple spices to be useful without such unlimited stacking. Slightly longer downtimes (maybe 30% instead of 50% of the time), and maybe a limit of 3 spices at once.
O.

i dont mind personally, people buy the foods and spices to get as much action regeneration as they can.
and i myself like to take all the food and drink i can and stack spices on top, it really isnt that much of a problem in my opinion. I have more trouble keeping the actual vendor stocked than anything, to the point that my last run of over 400 crates of new foods and most was sold in about 24 hours
i enjoy chef but i cant keep up with the insane schedules and to much of it feels like 'actual work'
but back to the topic, dont see it as much of a problem, infact i enjoy it and im all for keeping it the way it is. Finally theres is more spices rather than muon and pixie and its good to see this wide array being used.

As someone who makes spices and is also starting to take up Chef, I still feel us Smugglers get the rotten end of the stick. Pixie is still very useful yet we sell it (or at least I do) at 5k for a crate of 25. Thats alot less than what you guys charge for food. I know spice is easier to amke, and doesn't require uber resources but even still, it doesn't make us smugglers nearly as much as it should given its usefulness.
At least now they have made more spices useful so it is actually worth me making it (tho not for actual profit!) now
