The requirement that says 2 starshine surprises, do they HAVE TO be identical?

I know it seems like the answer is no but I'm currently grinding for it so I want to make sure that me saving all my starshines now, doesn't get wasted later. Thanks

What would be nice is if they put starshines in novice chef, so you don't lose 2/3 of the exp to GCXP

This is a deliiberate design eliment. The original plan was to make schematics obsolete after you prgresses so far past them. For things like the Starshine, it's best to get an Artisan to make them for you, or use a factory if have access to one or can afford one.

As long as this is being discussed, I've got a relatedquestion: Does it require two stacks of x, two stacks of 1, or a stack of 2? Since all of my starshines come out with at least two doses per stack, could I take one of those, split it, and use the two smaller stacks in the sunburn?

Ok, you're not getting the xp from crafting the additional stack of starshines, but we don't care about the GCxp anyway, right? And one less crafting session means more time crafting sunburn, less reactive gas needed (which is the most expensive resource on my server), more creds in our pockets, and reducing our carpal tunnel.

This is all completely academic to me right now, since I'm still working on getting to novice chef (only 1500 to go!), and the mixology skills are a distant dream on the horizon...

Doses and stacks are two different things.

If you have a starshine suprise (or whatever) as a component, and it has two charges it still only counts as 1 for the recipes.

Has anyone done any experiments on quality of starshine and how that affects sunburn?

I have only made 2 sunburns so far. One I made with 2 unexperimented starshines with bad cereals. The next I made with 2 experimentedstarshines with good cereals. The second came out slightly better than the first, and 3 servings instead of 2. However, that's not a very good experiment. I plan to do some more testing of this sort, just wondering if others have.

I have been playing with making better sunburns pre-experimentation and I have found something really odd. No matter what type/dose size/ingrediant Starshine surprise I use, if I use the same reactive gas I ALWAYS get 3% Flavor and texture and 5% Nutirtional Value. HOWEVER if I use a high overall quality reactive gas on the final combine of the sunburn I can increase the quantity. So far I have been able to get it to 26% base and like 70-80% post-experimentation giving 9 uses per combine. No matter what ingrediants I used in the starshines no stat ever changed on the final sunburn. What values of flavor and texture and nutritional value are you folks getting?

Also I have not been able to experiment my buff value about 1710, is there a hard cap?

Everything hasa hard minimum and maximum. On each thing I experiment on there is a point I can't get past.

Good to know. As I said, I haven't gotten into chef yet, so the only components I've had to deal with to this point were items that getcrafted as non-stacks(fiber panels, armor segments, carb syrup, etc).

We get low texture and nutritional value because the game seems to only look at the resources used in a combine. The only resource in the final combine of a Tatooine Sunburn is reactive gas, and of the stats shown we only use overall quality. The overall quality stat seems to affect the quantity of an item while potential energy and flavor each affect one of the other two. Ifreactive gashad potential energy and flavor statsI'm 99% sure the other values would go up also.

I can answer this with a most probably.

My reasoning, I make excellent cakes, and biscuits. Even before I had good experimentation, I got compliments. The secret, only use the BEST carbosyrup and dough you can make/find. (ie. my blap biscuits have a decent health buff - positive)

Assuming other recipes follow suit, a well made starshine should make a big difference.
