Okay before checking the board i've been making plain ole 'alcohol' it is:

5 Cereal

5 Metal

And this recipe gives me 20 xp.

Wastril bread on the other hand is:

35 Cereal

10 Fruit

And this recipe gives me 70 xp.

Alcohol gives me 2xp per resource and Wastril bread gives 1.55

It seems to me that I will be eating up more resources and spending more time gathering those resources by making Wastril bread then alchohol. Plus metal can be found in 80'ish% veins and around 70ish for cereal...and fruit at 40ish...so its much slower to even gather the resources for Wastril Bread...

Is there something im missing on Wastril bread? I'm gonna grind on alchohol and try to figure it out...

Not a flame...just honest confusion...

Well I am about 1/3 of the way to cooking 1(I am going for that instead of mix because I want to have the title "iron chef") and your method would not save me more then 2k resources and I could actually sell my bread. Plus it would take alot longer to do because I would have to make so many more.

Don't worry about selling thejunk you grind on, sell good food you've put some effort into. I've made about 3000 wastril breads (so far, ugh)and sold about five of them. Put that stuff on practice unless you've got good ingredients and time to experiment on it.

I've got all the time in the world but I'd rather spend it getting to master chef than marketing lousy bread.

I think you'd be hard pressed to crank out the bread faster then 8 or 9 mines can crank out the resouces. I suggest you make the bread unless you want to be grinding for more then twice as long.

Well yes, less clicking. Let's see how happy you are about repeated movements once you get up to Master Chef. Anything to speed up the exp process and minimize the clicks are a godsend. I've been a computer gamer for... 24 years now and this is the first game that has actually cause me pain trying to play (maybe I am just getting old) because of the repetivite grind.

So, make master chef, then come back and mock us about less mouse clicks.

I like to grind near a crafting station. That way, if I happen to get an "amazing success" on a combine, I can actually bother trying to experiment it up. If I succeed, then I make the food item & try to sell it later. If I fail, I hit the "practice" button and don't bother making the item.

For me, this makes grinding a little less boring.

Yeah, I have been gaming for 7 years now and this game actually makes my shoulder and wrist hurt. Counterstrike didn't even do that.

Aaaauuuuuuggggghhh! This should read "curse you, Wastril Bread!!"

My nightmares are filled with Wastril Bread! I wake in the morning and my wife says "what should we have for breakfast" and I say "how about some Wastril Bread...perhaps toasted...mmmm" and she looks at me with concern...

Just kiddin' of course...what I meant to say was Wastril Bread is better to grind on if grind you must; however, if you'd like to keep a small part of your sanity, perhaps quit worrying about grinding and roleplay a bit in the bars as you craft bread endlessly - sell some drinks, make some friends, give the bread away free as samples (let people know what food does!), etc. Sitting in front of a crafting station and mindlessly clicking is not my idea of fun (as I sloooowly grind my own way up from Novice Chef once in a while!)

Turn of your xp bars and have some fun, damnit!

I personally avoid grinding near a craft station, that way I don't have to click that extra create prototype button every time.
