Thread: BE additives and a Milk question

Hi. After having spent a few weeks trying to learn the chef profession all over again (hooray for the patch, but it really set my business back by a lot, because I suddenly found that I have no idea what my profession's all about anymore), I have a couple of questions I can't seem to solve myself.

First of all I'm wondering what types of BE additives people are the most fond of, both makers and users. I doubt I'll ever concentrate on anything than nutrient bonuses for the simple reason that I can't afford to buy ready-made tissues and I don't have the time or money to find the ingredients needed for the other stuff. The nutrition bonus just seems so much easier to get. Also, what size gives me the most value for my resources? I have resources enough for 1000 light nutrition additives, but is that worth it? To me it seems like it might be since I can make more items (sell cheaper) and also use them for all types of food/drink to which you can add an additive. But I don't know, so far I haven't made any post-patch food runs. Maybe my view on this will change as my business gathers momentum, but right now I have to be a bit cheap and only do what's good for my wallet.

My second question: I've aquired a few thousand units of pretty good milk (DR 791, Fla 554, PE 692, OQ 974). What should I do with it? I'm inclined to make some Blue Milk with it, because it seems to be a good drink (myself as a fencer will definitely have use for it) and also it doesn't take that much milk per stack to make. Anyone think there's anything else that I should do with my milk that would give me more value per resource?

Thirdly: I have a stock of Tat Sunburns. What should I charge for it now that we can't make them anymore? Also I have other pre-patch foods including BoH, fried ice cream, Ryshcate and Veghash. Is it even possible to sell these anymore?

Just because I hit submit instead of preview I came up with a couple of new questions... What container size do people use? I've gotten the feeling large glasses and casks are the most popular among chefs, is this right? Do you use different sizes for different drinks? Do you use larger sizes for enhanced drinks?

Your thoughts on this are much appreciated

I use Casks for 99% of drinks.

Additives - generally medium or heavy nutrition, for items that max out without a nutrition additive, I tend to use fillings.

Milk - when I have it (I keep asking PA to milk pickets, but will they ? ) I tend to make Deneelian Fizz Pudding, SmugglerS Delight (In my experience it is working) and Blue Milk

I use small glasses in all my regular drinks. I will use casks in all my BE drinks. Large glasses IMO are a waste of time.

I had considered using a quantity additive with BE Blue milk and casks. Milk is just so hard to come by in large stacks(harder than meat for me). I don't know if I will do this or not. I really don't see a huge need for Blue Milk. The filling to me makes this drink not so useful. Most people I would guess would rather just use Brandy. It acts like blue milk just with higher filling.

What are fillings? What specifically can you put in place of the additive?
