I posted this message within a different thread, but I wanted to make it more visible in case anyone else wanted to participate.
Much has been said about the rift between BEs and Chefs, mostly about costs of additives. Here is a proposal for anyone interested. I will create and sell you a heavy additive schematic for 20% of your final selling price (if you want medium or light, let's call those 15% and 10%, respectively). You will need a vendor to participate. Simply mail me the WP in-game. I'll check out your vendor prices and price my schematic for you accordingly. Thus, if you want to sell enhanced Brandy for 100k per crate, the schematic fee will be 20k for a 25 unit (1 crate) run. Even if you spend 20k on maintenance and 20k on other resources, you are still left with 40k profit (in this example, your mileage may vary). Once you make your factory run and place the items up for sale, e-mail me again so I can confirm your final selling price and we can do business again.
I understand that there are plenty of ways to cheat me here (placing an underpriced crate on the vendor, for example), but like any business, I will continue to offer services to honest professionals and cease dealings with the others.
Food pricing is out of control, according to many, and this is a chance to make it more reasonable. For example, I spoke with an end-user yesterday who spent over 850 credits PER USE on brandy. That would make a ten-use stack 8500 creds, and a crate of 25 10-use brandies over 200,000 credits. Maybe this is what the market supports. Maybe it's too much. What I'm offering is stable, predictable pricing that chefs can build their business around. What's more, up-and-coming chefs can take advantage of this partnership if they don't have a lot of starting cash--just request a smaller schematic and offer a lower end-price.
Finally, I invite chefs who participate in this experiment to come back to the boards here and share their views on the good, bad, and ugly.
Warmest regards,

Wow--the silence is deafening! Nobody has an opinion or comment (pro or con) on this idea?

I pay $37.5k for a crate of BE tissues. I sell my brandy for $200k a crate (18 use, 45 minute duration). My vendor is at the KADJP superstore in Twighlight's End, near Theed on Kettemoor.
I would welcome you selling good medium flavor and nutrition tissues to me at 15% of final price (i.e.30k). That would save me $7.5k/crate. If you do, I'll even drop my prices to $180k/crate.
I have a big problem with keeping enough BE tissues in stock and once you make some BE food, you never want to do without.
