I have been trying to make a schematic for alcohol and i never seem to get the option for experiment or schematic or anything... it just makes the item. I am at a personal crafting station ( food and chem), and no go, any help would be nice... thx

Are you using a food and chem crafting tool?

lmao... that could be it.... i was using generic cuz thats what it told me was needed... thx alot

You have to be at a crafting station to be able to make a schematic. This is where having a droid with a food/chem station in it is nice.
