Last night my husband and I were not able to eat and drink or eat more than one food.. etc.

Could consume only ONE thing no matter what the stomach filling was and could not drink and eat at same time. Man I hope this makes sense.. I can't seem to word it right. hmm example:

He drank a brandy and couldn' do anything else. Later he ate a food (not sure what) and couldn't do anything else. I'm so confused.
