Thread: What The Developers Say About The Harvesters
You may have heard about the harvesters on the test center, and that they have much smaller capacity.
In brief: This will not make it onto the live server. This was a mistake on the test center that they will correct before going on the life server.
The long version: The harvesters are working right now the way they were originally were intended to work. 
The fact that they hold much more now is the bug. Since it works well the way it does, the developers decided not to fix the bug and keep them larger.
Then, in the lastest patch, the developers did something else to the harvesters that unintentionally put them back the way they were suppose to be. That is why we have a test center, however, to catch these bugs.
So, again, you should never see hoppers that small on the live servers.

The harvester rate and capacity numbers on TC will not be on live and will not remain on TC.
TC is going to get weird stuff from time to time...that's why its the test center.
