OK, I know that someone will *always* shout 'y0 sux0rs, y0 r 2 expensive' but this bugs me anyways...

FarStar is one of the younger servers, granted. Thus I put up my BE enhanced Vasarian Brandy for 175k per crate (+320 for 45 minutes, filling 49 in casks and stacks of 18). It took me three freaking days to find a MBE. A nice chap that was willing to make me a schematic as he is selling pets only I should add. Ran the factory for the Broad Spectrum Nutrients, the Medium Food additive, the casks and finally the food, which is comparable to the four factory runs Stim B's take. Why on earth am I supposed to sell for less for a product that gives more bang for the buck? O_o

Stim-B's sell for 1k and more per use here and yet my price is called obscene - 808 credits (including the darn tax) per buff of 640 for 45 minutes.

If there are experienced FarStar Chefs here I would appreciate their input on what they sell their Brandy for.

I guess I will go for small glasses and non-BE food next as a test. I bet the crate of that stuff would happily be bought for 50k, which would be about double the price per use I try to charge for the BE enhanced stuff in crates.

Customer psychology - the absolute price looks better on the crate of small glasses while it is actually much, much worse.

your forgetting the trim factory run

There are always, always going to be whiners and people that make themselves feel better by downing someone else. You have to determine what all the time you put into this is worth and stick to your guns... provided you can keep a customer base. I'm not on farstrider, but I sell my BE enhanced brandy for 250k, have 8 factories running full time on it, and it's sold before it comes out of the factory. Other servers are selling for more than that from what I've seen, some less... just have to find what your economy will support. Even on my server, some are selling for 300k+, some are selling 200k /shrug. Making this stuff is very time consuming to keep a constant supply flowing. The new will wear off, more people are doing chef now so more product will be available, competition will increase, prices will settle down more than likely. Just go with the flow and don't let the perpetual whiners get to ya!

Have run some numbers through good ol' Excel (I assumed 5cpu whichis OK for good (not butt-kicking) resources over here):

Cost to make 1 crate of casked Brandy with a medium BE enhancer: 83750 credits (including the Trim (I paid 150 per) and the BE additive (2k per is what I am expecting to regularly pay)).

Cost to make 1 crate of Brandy in small glasses without a BE enhancer: 8750 credits.

Cost to make one crate of Muon Gold: 5625 credits (probably less as you can use the lowest junk from the bazaar)

While it is perfectly OK to charge 2 or more times the production cost on the last two doing the same on the first appears to be considered to be 'obscene rip-offs' worth 1 staring and pointing fingers at you

Guess I will really try to settle for non-BE stuff in small glasses for now - much less hassle and actually a bigger profit margin on this server.
