... when people use my foods, they can play the game better.

... I like being the best at what I do, and having control over how good I can be.

... I like to know that when I make something with a 400 buff, I know that I can do better if I try to get better resources.

... people know that I put as much effort into my craft as any other crafter on my server regardles of profession or combat skill.

... I made food and fish all the time in EQ during "downtime", and continue to be intrigued knowing sombody will always want food at some point, even if it just for kicks.

... I hate vanilla templates for "the best" character.

... my city tax is 5% and income from my food sales alone can support a level 4 city with gardens and a manufacturing center, all while my bank account stays the same.

... when I do hunt in a group with my second account and give food to people I have never met before, I stand a 50% chance to introduce them to a side of the game they have never seen before.

... nothing anybody says or does will ever make me drop Chef.

Thanks for reading. Keep your snide remarks to yourself.

I like it because I can gouge the **** out of unsuspecting BEs.

I actuallylurk around Coronet Starport, and when I see a BE I've never seen before, I pounce on him from the shadows and extort a schematicfrom him at a price so low it's vulgar.

I like knowing that people don't have to buy my food, they want to buy my food.

I feel good when people come back to my shop to purchase some more, which either means they enjoyed it or want to try something new.

I like being able to hand out samples. No weaponsmith will ever hand out samples of guns or armorsmiths armor. Not that they are greedy, the item they sell just doesn't allow for it very much.

Nice post Skykes. I came from another server to the Kauri server to try out a new profession without screwing my other. I also wanted a change from having everything, to trying to make ends meet. So far, its a huge struggle. People are rude as hell- but you know what,I never give up. They're are many good people out there. I have run into a bunch of them.

My friends, confidants, contacts, or random nice people I run into will always get something from me. Something good, somethng useful, something that will make them share like the people that I know like to share. Its not all about how much can I make. Thats really stupid if all I want to do is make 100 million creds.

I decided to become a chef. I am not thinking about End Game. I am not thinking about how fast, or how much. I am thinking about what would be the most useful and most practical item I can make, that will help out me, my friends, or any nice person that I come along.

If I see you at a lair, chilling while your mind heals, you may just get some BlueMilk to help you out. If I see your incapped, you can bet your money I am going to heal you.

This game is about friends- people you dont know and people you want to meet. I want to meet nice people like you. And like the other fine characters that I have run into and work with hand and hand. Working on a profession, without PA support, unlimited resources, huge stacks of cash, meat, hides, bones, factories, heavy harvs, weapons, buffs, medical, etc... makes the game all that more interesting. My people will eventually get something in return, if not Blue Milk, a good friend.
