Hey,

I'm going to be master chef pretty soon and I'm going to be keeping the profession. I'm also Currently Master Merchant which makes manufacturing and harvesting a little cheaper plus advertising is much better. I was wondering what other Crafting profession would compliment these skills in your mind, or just to use as a money maker or for practical things. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to put Bio-Engineer on the list of professions you would want to be self-sufficient.

If not, then Tailor, as I seem to fly through Trim like there is no tomorrow!

You can factory manufacture almost anything if you have enough resources, including BE additives. However getting enough good quality meat for factory runs will be quite difficult I assume.

My current template is Master Artisan, Master Chef, Merchant 2041 and a bit of Pistoleer. However Im getting a second account in a month or so, and Im moving all my crafting stuff other than chef over to that. So my main will go, Master Chef, Master Pistoleer, Marksman 0404 and Smuggler 0040, my alt will probably be Master Artisan, Master Merchant, possibly some Tailor, I havent really decided yet

To be honest, I dont think I would enjoy being bother a BE and a Chef at the same time, the hassle would be enormous. Even a BE alt would be too much for me. I prefer to buy crates of the additives off my mate, its a lot simpler for me, even if it does slightly increase the cost of my crates of food. Hey, its not like I was going to sell at cost anyway

My setup:-

Account 1) Master Chef, Master Tailor, Master Merchant

Account 2) Master Bio-Engineer, Master Creature Handler

I buy my supplements elsewhere. Im a student with alot of time to play but there is no way at all I could keep up with demand on both chefing and BE (purely supplying myself). Meats arent easy to buy in large quantities and are time consuming to collect yourself. On a good note, account 2 has 10 extra lots

Kind Regards,

My template-

Master Chef | Master Merchant | Master Artisan | The rest of my points put into Tailor 0,0,4,3 at the moment. Still have 15 points left over.

I suggest getting Master Artisan, since there are some decent foods in the domestic arts line. For whenever they fix barrels, it will be nice to make my own PC's and CU's, and having 10 exp points helps as well.

See, I've thought about bio-engineer, but there's a few questions.. Can bio-engineers manufacture CRATES of supplimentsor food additives so that you can easily cram them into a factory along with the rest of your ingredients to make your desired food? Also, do you think it'd be worth it to give up all the manufacturing, harvesting, advertising and vendor discounts of a Master Merchant?? I'd still be able to keep Advertising 3 and Management 1 if needed, but is it really worth it?

My favored template: Master Chef, Master TKA, Scout 4040, Novice Merchant

This gives you 2 Vendors (more than enough for a Chef, one for crates, one for BE additive foods) and the ability to get Hide/Meat/Bone and Milk on your own almost as efficently as a Ranger. It also allows you to go and do quests for schematics and quick cash to cover travel costs, since all you need is Doctor buffs to be one tough SOB. You also have all those nice foods and a food that buffs Unarmed Damage. Any fighting class would do, but this one lets you solo all aspects of pure chef (non-additives and Tailor components) by yourself. Trim isn't hard to get, really, you just need to give them the resources for it.

You lack the sign posts, etc, but if you find a decent Player city you can put your Vendor up in a really good spot. And yes, your Vendors will be very ugly.

But I'm really thinking No Combat Professions of any sort.. I have another character for that... I'm just here to A)Serve the community with food and whatever else it needs, and B)Earn Bank.

I'm beginning to think BE//Chef with a few merchant skills is the way to go... I'll have to look up how to grind BE along with a few other things.. also, if anyone knows if a BE can manufacture FACTORY CRATES of food additives, please let me know.
