I'm sure they'll add some sort of food or drink in with the new expansion! May not be crafted, but it just means that we'll have another thing to tell the masses that we cannot produce

Chef, in my experience, is the most time consuming crafting profession in the game. People are lured into it because of the credits and then tuck tail and run because they do not have the dedication or time to keep a good vendor going. Chef deals mainly in full crates so a complete run is at the most 40 crates. Have a armorsmith make a full run of something like composite armor. I know it takes a ton of resources and different components and there are nine pieces to make a complete set, but place those complete runs on the vendor. Now have a chef make 9 different complete runs of their product and place it on the vendor.I will wager the chef will be crafting the product again long before the armorsmith has to. I know things have changed for several crafting professions like armorsmith since the CU and every type of armor is needed in game, so their workload has increased considerably.Same for weaponsmith. All I amtrying to express is that chef is not a fly-by-night profession and to be good you have to work very hard at it. Most people are not prepared for the amount of crafting involved and that is why chef is one of the least played professions.
I don't blame the devs for lack of chefs in game at all. In fact, they have made our product even more diverse and desired than before.

And sadly that's enough to outrank us
I believe its because Bounty Hunters are so plentiful, they need Arakyd and Seeker droids.
And I have no idea why Chef is almost on the bottom of the list other than what Higginis said,"Only the cool people can be chefs."
