Can't find any reference on this food in the "food bugged list" but some guildies have tried with and without it and say there's no difference.
So I'm asking to more experienced chef.....it's bugged? And, if yes, it was submitted to dev's attention (if it's worth something to do that)???
Thanks guys

We just don't know. Yet to be confirmed by teh Devs to my knowledge. Numerous tests have been carried out and we are still none the wiser.

I will be honest with you. I have scores of customers that sware by it. There was a time (during reading these forums) that I decided not to stock it because I did not want to mislead my customers. I recieved email and /tell after tell asking, "where is it" by many folks and quickyl got it back on the shelf. I think there might be some sort of intermittant issue with it however.

Even really good pvpers who pay attention to foods insist it works and can't live without it. I always feel silly even asking if they think it actually works like doh you're just a chef, what do you know.

i tested melee food using verbrose combat messages with force armor and it did no damage mitigation what so ever. i was dumbfounded cuz ive been buying this since pre cu. this was pvp against another jedi, so maybe ls really isnt considered melee...or its bugged. of course im on bria so i Better Reboot It Again.

Just because it sells doesn't mean it works. None of my pvping friends have reported to me that it works and I would not use this thing in a fight, all it does for me is to fill up my food bar.
People buy it for the simple reason that it looks to be such a huge boost to defence.
BE defence clothing has not yet been proven to work and the tailor have flat out said that it is NOT working. I am curious to see why the chefs can't admit the same thing.

It's not a matter of not "admitting", it's a matter of everybody not agreeing so let's not act like there is some evil intent. I've told people "People have run tests and they say it's not working" and all have said "Well they don't know what they're talking about cause it works".
What we need is a dev response, pure and simple. Will we get one? Not bloody likely anytime soon.

Of all the test done, none have shown it works even a tiny bit.
How will it get any response or fix if its not even listed as being broken. People are saying 'it work' with no proof to back it up.

This question comes up quite often in both the Chef and combat profession forums. The above poster is correct : Not one of the many many tests (including my own) has shown conclusively that this food actually works. And yet people swear by it.
Same with BE clothes, but there the case is a bit more complex. Melee and Ranged defense clothes HAVE shown to work on lower level characters, and in certain cases appear to work to some degree. This reinforces my hypothesis that it is not the food or the clothing mods that are broken, but rather the entire melee and ranged defense system itself that is not working properly.
I believe that there are caps or points of diminishing returns with the melee and ranged defense values. What this means is, the food and BE clothes may indeed work, but that full templates simply will never realize any gain from their use because their defense values are already so far around the useful edge of the mathematical curve. I believe this to be the case, and so far the testing that has been done with lower level characters and templates has supported this hypothesis.
Now, it is of course very possible that the food itself actually doesnt work. This is quite possible since vegeparsine hasnt been shown to do anything under any long duration controlled testing setup. I have probably tested vegeparsine 6 different times since the CU, and I have never once managed to get it to affect any result whatsoever. No damage mitigation, no increase in missed attacks.
And yet people continue to eat the hell out of it. /shrug
Maybe it works. Maybe all the tests and all the experiments are flawed. I cant speak conclusively because I am not a dev. All I know is that I never use this food. Yes, the market for this food is there. So it comes down to us continuing to ask the devs for clarification, while each making a personal choice as to whether or not to stock the food.
Since I have left the world of Cheffing, I dont claim to speak for anyone other than myself. However I still remain a very large proponent of the Chef profession, and I still believe it to be THE premier crafting profession when it comes to creativity, individuality, and difficulty.
